QUOTE(zamanjaafar @ Aug 26 2012, 03:44 PM) Ya, i know need to find kedai asap My stock 14" alloy rims (185/60R14 tyres) came with 14" spare steel wheel shod with 155/70R14 Conti tyres... Only takut it wont even go a few hundred meters without flipcar due to the different wheels Acc2 Tyre Calculator, difference is the Spare is only -1.05% of the stock ori; Radius -6mm and Circumference -19mm. Also yr real speed wld be 69.27kph when yr Speedo is showing 70kph. Very small difference only... This cost-saving practice has been in operation for abt a decade or more... NB. Ages ago, there was the time when cars that came with ori stock alloy rims came in sets of 5 and were also sold in sets of 5.... This post has been edited by zeone: Aug 26 2012, 04:43 PM |

Re RSB installation, me, now on hindsight, feels that the base fixture could be better & more firmly anchored to the car floorboard under the rear seat... Using the available ori bolts with ori spring washers is not Std good attachment practice, resulting in the spring washers not properly seated squarely on the base plate. An additional flat washer for each of the 2 bolts fitted below the spring washers wld be IDEAL.... Maybe a further slight "mod" at a later date? When lil ole me gets an inspiration to open up the rear seat & backrest to reach that base plate attachment? Haha! Not now...kinda energy level pretty low now... QUOTE(wanfauzan @ Aug 26 2012, 07:29 PM) hi Bro...Accurate? Dun think any commonly/easily (cheap?) available tyre pressure gauge is THAT accurate. Use it as a rough guide. Good enuf...maybe even better than those public ones @ air pumps at Petrol Stations... Can find variety @Tesco, Pacific, The Store, Giant, acc shops, & many more. Me got 1 dial gauge type when bought Ducaros after its launch 4my ole ride. FOC!! ps. Hving yr own gauge is a convenience...hving yr own 12V tyre pump is even MORE convenient!! pps. Filling up yr donuts with Nitro gas is even better! Chk only 1X in many mths!! Shop will chk & top up 4yu! FOC sumore!! This post has been edited by zeone: Aug 26 2012, 08:47 PM |

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 26 2012, 08:57 PM) Yup, Bro...True. However, in my ole ole VW1300, they served me very well till me sold it off. No more oversteering probs. Stability & grip was great even maneuvering those old Genting-Sempah winding stretches with ease b4 there were HiWays or tunnels! Were shod with 15" Mich ZXs. Wear & Tear on bearings, etc was negligible cos those spacers were specifically designed 4VWs fr England. This post has been edited by zeone: Aug 26 2012, 09:07 PM |

QUOTE(saga_911 @ Aug 26 2012, 08:58 PM) Ok then... Bro, dunno abt BLMs...Wanna try at my blm Added on August 26, 2012, 9:05 pm Abg dares.. Sy suda baca tp tak brape nk faham... Bab keburukan die The spacers in yr pic look like "universal"/ generic ones. Probs alot if too thick, giving stress/strain on wheel bearings & suspension parts. If wanna try, choose wisely & from renowned manufacturers...extended wheel lugs/bolts can break if poor Q. |

Jika sdr ingin cuba, dapatkan drp pembuatnya yg berjenama/ terkenal. Bolt (skru ) / bahagian pemasangan tambahannya kemungkinan patah disebabkan Kualiti tak baik. Terjemahan I boleh tahan tak? Harap maaf jika kekurangan...ok, Sdr? TKasih... |

Wat me do is use tyre gauge chk then use air pump 2top up...usually 1 unit higher than off suggested values. Hv been doing so since car was new. Tyre wear appears normal... |
