I think the hard reset was an old trick from HTC HD7/lumia 800. I guess it works for lumia 920? ^ as I said, can go and find it in mobile phone section of garage sale. type in nillkin in search box and look for ping23 seller. RM35 inc. SP!. yes it gives good protection on the sides should u drop it (dropped mine just now while installing the SP
