Hello everyone,
Just happened to stumble upon this thread.. I'm NK frm kulai johor. Just obtained a male JRT puppy 1 mth ago, he's 3mths old now. Did a check on the parents before purchasing, to make sure he's not a mixed breed, coz no MKA. Dewormed and already had his 2nd shot, and started heartworm pills too.

Meet Hugo

Yup, Hugo does jump at visitors... training him to contain his excitement.. even when i'm leaving to work in the morning, he'll be really hyper jumping here n there.. get him to sit n down n offer him treat, then he'll stay down begging for more treat drool.gif

Added on April 7, 2011, 10:55 ami've got few e-books on dogs training n JRT... but not sure if can be posted here..

Hugo's birthday is on 24th Dec 2010. The photos are zoomed, that's y look big lar bro... he' was 4.4kg when he went for 2nd shot last week..

Hugo still jumps on everyone in the house n visitors, n getting naughtier by day, sometimes it's really hard to get his attention.

Yesterday, got some lamb bones from market, added some rosemary n thyme, let it boil n simmer for 30mins n gave it to him, n that sets him on a mission from 2pm to 8pm enjoying his new toy/meal.....

If the stone is small it will follow their poopoo out. If its too big, he will most probably vomit it out.
Scruffy will vomit the illegal stuffs he swallow at his wee-wee tray!

Yoga face patch like Scruffy! but lighter colour =D
That snack! I saw it at pets lover but felt its abit too dry and hard for my boy. So I took Pets Botanic..

Isdre, thats the reason why I choose him out of his 4 siblings. His butt patch!  rclxm9.gif

Tampin! which part of the lamb bone you bought for your boy? Want to do it for Scruffy this weekend =D
See he likes it anot..Hehe~
*
i see lots off funny stuffs in his poo everyday eg: plastics, rubber bands, even wall paint scraps.... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

ask the butcher for tulang kaki kambing, it's the one used in sup tulang... will cost you abt rm1-2 for 1 big piece, can be chopped into 2/3 pcs. > be warned[SIZE=7], dont let him eat inside the house, coz he'll drag it all over, let him out in the porch or better still in his crate, then you can just wash it off, if not your whole porch will smell. Mine finished up the soup first before touching the bone. I've to hold the bone near his mouth few times before he actually got the message that it's edible n can be eaten laugh.gif i just added some dried rosemary to it n let it boil. Dont dare to give raw.

Ohh, if buy from supermarket got ar? XD I dont really go to market...hehe~

Wah, Hugo get different menu everyday? You feed him kibbles or home made food?

His poop so far so good, unless he really eat lots of rubbish, then I can see wonders  rclxub.gif
Else standard 1 day 3 times toilet with roughly the same amount and colour =)

Inside his crate..he is going to make his pillow dirty!
Even feed him apple also he can mess up my floor  doh.gif
*
nope... you have to get it from butcher. hugo's on kibbles (blackwood 3000), but just trying out homemade food on weekends, no time on weekdays. Maybe, you can get frozen lamb ribs from supermarkets, but it'll come with plenty of meat n less bone, n rib bones are softer so there are possibility of the bone to splinter n hurt him.. n take out the pillow from the crate before feeding him lor, then wont be dirty laugh.gif laugh.gif

Nairud, only the front teeth. Those tiny one, not his canine tooth. So far only 4 missing...Like primary school kid missing front teeth~ So cute  laugh.gif

Ohh, then I better head to the market to get lamb leg. Dont want to risk.

Does your doggy show the mating movement alot?
My boy like to mate his panda =,='' so far only his panda..he used to do that towards us but after correcting him, he no longer do that to us.
Should I allow? Or stop him from doing that to his toys ar?
*
so far i've never seen him humping on anything, but as as he gets older, there are high chances of it happening. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Never given him a soft toy before, coz even a pillow won't last more than few hrs with him, all the fillings will be out by then. U can read about humping issues on net and how to prevent them

Guys, need help.

My boys nail, the top part, near to his skin is reddish and the nail part is abit brownish. But the tip part is white and pinkish inside. Is this some sort of nail problem?

And when I shower and cut his nails, he would be shaking and licking his feets after that. For a very long period =/

Am I doing anything wrong? I make sure I only cute the tip which is white in colour and not too close to his pinkish nail. And he scratch his neck and ear after I clean them. I use the ear solution I bought from the pet shop. Is that the reason?

Help! T_T
*
could it be pigmentation? coz some of hugo's nail started turning brown/black recently ans upon consulting the vet, he said that's pigmentation that will set in as he grows.... as for hugo his skin used to be clear when i got him 2 mths back, but now there's quite lots of brownish patch on his skin...

After having him for 8 years and 4 months, with heavy heart we have to make the hardest decision to euthanise him, as he’s been suffering from anal carcinoma. After consultation with few vets, this seems to be the best option. He was not able to defacate for more than a week now as his rectum is totally block. Surgery is an option, but vets saying he will suffer even more after the surgery, and chances are very slim.

So, let all say goodbye to our Hugo. All dogs goes to heaven, and let him be at peace.
