huhu, Finally this thread is not dead. JRT is a very active dog, my Russell he run not stop, and I talk to him always, everyday I'll stroke him and talk to him.
-confession time-
That day he was playing with the water hose with me. He kept bitting it and keep pulling it all over my garden, then I was angry because I put it together then he mess up again, I use the hose and beat him but accidently kena his eye. Then he kept shouting and I was shocked, because I didin meant to hit his eye, then I sayang him back then keep apologizing, then he show me those pity face and his close the eye I ter-hit. I was so afraid, I keep sayang back that eye and apolofize non stop. At last he nothing, still can run around, eye no problem alrdy. I was so afraid, I almost cried. Then I feed him so much treat and hug him. biggrin.gif

Wahhh.. How old is your Russell?

My Rusty is soo hyperactive. He doesn't like the lawn mower and whenever we take it out, he will bite the wheel. After the engine starts, he will run away because he doesn't like the sound. When we try to put it back, he will again bark and bite at the wheel. rclxub.gif

Just last night, I was quite angry with him for nipping me after I tried to prevent him from humping the pillow. I threw him out of my room and the other dog, Snoopy came up to lick me all over. As if to say, "Don't throw me out too... " laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

They are hyper but also very entertaining. blush.gif

Both look good! one of them looks like my boy as he has a "mask" around his face. However, as he is aging, he's got white hairs now. Will have to post their pics here...

Haha.. They are both a bit fat. Both spayed and so, have put on some weight over the years. tongue.gif

The close one is coming to 11 yrs old. Both can't resist peanut butter. Will run to the sound of peanut butter jar opening.

He's taking Royal Canin Urinary S/O as recommended by vet. He has bladder stones and remove via surgery 1 year ago.. after surgery, vet recommended Royal Canin S/O to us. Previously he was even fatter, now we have reduce his food intake, controlling his diet. Other than that, he's still that hyper active and mischievous as ever..

Same with both of my pups - taking Royal Canin. Wanted to switch one to senior dog food but she didn't like it. Anyway, both also makan banyak because one of the humans can't resist their big brown eyes & mighty woof to ask to be fed during dinner time... blush.gif

just bought a JRT two weeks ago ... == hyperest dog ever !

Congrats & welcome!! rclxms.gif

They are super hyper but super lovable as well. Always remember that they love to challenge authority (at any age... whistling.gif) and so, have to properly discipline & train them well (Positive reinforcement!) They also seem to not run out of battery too. Got a senior dog who's still so active...

hahaha.. my husband said to me, the best time to have a JRT is when they are 10yrs old n above.. coz already mellow down. although still cheeky and notty, but slower pace..  biggrin.gif

Haha.. True. My JRT girl coming to 11. She still know her tricks but unwilling to learn new ones (stubborn). My JRT boy coming to 6yrs - a bit more mellowed but still naughty!! As for energy level, I'm surprised that my girl still can have bursts of energy!!!
