just saw this thread tongue.gif

wanna show off my JRT + Maltese pup. His name is Combi and I adopted him last week. He should be around 5 months old.

Very cute lil fella. nice to cuddle when I sleep! My mom pampers him like mad. He's really active but sometimes when he sleeps... takes up alot of space.. have to push him around and he doesn't bother waking up tongue.gif
Loves his tennis balls. sometimes chase after the ball but can't break... crash into the door tongue.gif

I have 2 adult dogs that tolerates with him but Combi think's that he's big enough to bully the bigger dogs tongue.gif

Nice one. And yes, since your Combi has JRT genes, they're crazy over balls and also just becareful with the other 2 adult dogs. JRT tends to think that they're as big as other big dogs eventhough they're in a small body. They feel that they can take on anyone anytime anywhere.

yeah.. I noticed tht. I'm just worried though about leaving him home alone for 8 hours when I go to school. my mom suggested to put him with my adult female dog since she tolerates him better and she's more gentle...

is that alright? or should I just leave him alone in the house?

you can put them together as long as you're sure that they will not attack Combi. from the time you got combi until now, did combi get into any trouble with them? if not i'm quite sure that they'll get along well.

edit: just remember that as long as combi knows his place in the pack, it'll be ok. unless suddenly combi has the urge to be the leader of the pack, just keep an eye out.

lol. my adults dogs, at least my female is alright. she has this big-sisterly instinct towards combi. she even lets him eat from her bowl and he's the one growling at her tongue.gif

my adult male dog is more like the strict uncle. he'll allow you to poke around all you want until he gets really irritated then he barks and sometimes snaps at the naughty one but without any intention of hurting. he just scares the lil fella.

I'm just afraid tht combi would think tht he's the big guy there. he has tried barking and growling at my big dogs before but this afternoon's play session was alright.

it's a terrier fgs. that's why they need attention and exercises to fully occupy their mind. Get some nyla bone, some chewable toys. Let combi wreck havoc onto them instead of your stuffs.
