If i get the GTX670 do i need to upgrade my PSU as well?
*
True i'm not good with PSU's though but I guess if you could than you are better off getting a better PSU like maybe the Xigmatek Tauro 500/600W because I looked up your PSU and its actually a fake PSU.

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2336760/all

See 4th post by lex.

I'd recommend you switch out of that PSU ASAP and before you plug in your new graphic card.

Need suggestion for gpu upgrade.

Specs
Mobo: Asus m4a785d-m pro
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 945
RAM: 4GB
PSU: EXPLOIT ATX-500W (on the outside there's a sticker that says AC 230V)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (pirate) doh.gif

Current GPU is nvidia 9500 gt
Budget around rm300~500
For Gaming.
With current gpu playing games such as HON, Dragon nest on high lags a lot.
Need a gpu that can play new games on ultra or high without any lag.
Appreciate it if you guys can help me @_@
*
Just to confirm what kind of new games you want to play? if you mostly play HON, Dragon nest and casually game other titles, then 7850 can serve you well already.

I strongly suggest you to stop using that PSU if you're planning to switch the GPU.

[Budget] 3k

[Purpose] Gaming

[Hardware that will be reuse from old rig] keyboard, mouse

[Monitor resolution] best option

[Game or software that use frequently] DOTA 2, FIFA, COD, AC series

[Personal Preference Brand] none

This is my first time making a custom rig. So a few tips wouldn't hurt.

Mmm I guess invest in a GTX670 around 1k. With your processor it might bottleneck it's performance a little but you can always get a better processor in the future and even with the bottleneck of your proc your going to see a MASSIVE performance gain when compared to your old card.

Yes 7850 those games no problem whatsoever but if your asking for latest games high or ultra maybe not.

Tauro 500w only has 32A on it's +12v rail :

http://www.xigmatek.com/product.php?produc...e=specification

And it's not 500w true power..

While Enermax NAXN 550w are better :

The most important voltage rail in a power supply is the +12V rail. This voltage rail supplies power to the most demanding components including the processor, drives, cooling fans and graphics cards. All of these items draw a lot of current and as a result you want to make sure that you purchase a unit that supplies enough power to the +12V rail.
