Is it just me or Rodwell is a bad luck magnet? The match against Southampton, he gave the ball away for opponent to score. Against Liverpool, his foul led to the freekick which Suarez scored.

Both City & Pool drop points. Good for us.  biggrin.gif

Seems like MC defence is not as good as last year - even with the first team regulars. Not a good sign for them. To conceed 2 in each macth is bad.

RVP was invisible when kagawa went out

while Kagawa and Roo are players who like to play behind RVP's hole, Kagawa sticks closer him while Roo.....he's behind everybody bar the back 5
*
Technically, he was "isolated" when Kagawa went off. Rooney is not the type who will say "let's tango"... but more of "if not me, then only you".

Guys, looks like Berba's going to Italy....

Berbatov 'set for Fiorentina move'

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov flew to Italy on Wednesday to complete a move to Serie A club Fiorentina, a source close to the Bulgarian said.

"Fiorentina have agreed personal terms with Dimitar and they'll announce the deal very soon," the source, who asked not to be identified, said, adding the transfer was subject to Berbatov passing a medical.

Berbatov, who became United's most expensive player when he joined from Tottenham Hotspur in 2008 for £30.75 million, had reached an agreement with the Serie A club on a two-year contract with an option for a further year.

The 31-year-old was the Premier League joint-top scorer in the 2010-11 season with 20 goals but has struggled to hold down a place in Alex Ferguson's starting line-up since and was keen to revive his career in another top European league.

Ferguson made it clear it was probably time for Berbatov, who is Bulgaria's all-time leading scorer with 48 goals, to look for a move when he signed Dutch striker Robin Van Persie from Arsenal prior to the start of the Premier League season.

If the deal is completed, Berbatov will become the fourth Bulgarian in Serie A after defender Nikolay Iliev and strikers Hristo Stoichkov and Valeri Bojinov, who played for Fiorentina between 2005 and 2007.

Football experts in Bulgaria believe the transfer could also lead to Berbatov ending his self-imposed international exile.

Earlier this year, Berbatov, who quit the national team in 2010, said he would be open to an approach from coach Luboslav Penev after he moved to a club where he could play regularly.

GOODBYE BERBA....

After reading the transfers done today, I still think it will be Chelses, MC and us for the title, while Tottenham and Arsenal for 4th.

Liverpool is gonna have to settle for UEFA cup again with Newcastle, Swansea and (possibly) Fulham.

Golden hattrick means what?

Scored with either foot and header. Meaning one left, one right, one head. Rarely that happens.

Don't think we can read much into our defense performance yesterday. Was shocking but there are positives. But in all fairness Rio looked rusty. The understanding between vida and rio was not there to be seen. Hopefully with the two week internationals there will be some game time for some of our players.

I really wonder what will happen when scholesy eventually decides to retire. What more can we praise about him? His vision, passing, experience is all there.

On another note really happy for RVP. He looks like he's thriving. Not that he has not in the past at Arsenal. Hope he stays clear from injuries and he'll hit top gear for sure thumbup.gif Imagine a full flight RVP!
*
Well, Vidic and Rio played together for the first time since like what... a year ago? So the confusion is understandable... although SAF better sort it out by the end of the internationals. Then again, the next 2 matches (Wigan and Galatasaray) will be a good time to "re-fuse" the link again.

And we do need a good midfielder which can take on the Scholes mantle at the moment. Cleverly is good, but still too raw. And why did Fergie played Kagawa on the left? shocking.gif

RVP though.... 24 million? Looks like a bargain.

Isn't that why we bought kagawa for though? I was slightly bemused why didn't SAF start nani on the left and opted for wellbeck to play on the left then switched it around. Was it because of nani's reluctance to play on the left?

Kagawa has shown that he the range, cleverness and an eye for goal. But certainly he is no paul scholes. he's just a one off!
Let's just hope RVP stays clear of injuries  rclxub.gif

Kagawa is a better player when you use him in mid or behind the strikers. Yesterday though he tends to drift in and out between the left wing and midfield. It seriously disrupted his tempo.

Ohhh Robin van Persie!!!

thumbup.gif

And he's now desperate to play for Holland.... hope he doesn't get injured.... sweat.gif

Robin van Persie is prepared to play anywhere on the pitch when Holland begin their World Cup qualification campaign this week.

The Manchester United striker faces the prospect of starting on the substitutes' bench after new boss Louis van Gaal overlooked him for their friendly defeat to Belgium last month.

Van Gaal instead opted to start Klaas Jan Huntelaar, who scored in the 4-2 defeat, to further fuel the debate over which of the strikers was best for Holland.

Van Persie misfired during the Oranje's disastrous Euro 2012, after topping the goalscoring charts in the Barclays Premier League last term, to reinforce criticism he saves his best for his club.

The 29-year-old has revealed he has since spoken to Van Gaal about his place but, despite netting a hat-trick for new club United against Southampton at the weekend, he remains unsure whether he will get his chance against Turkey and Hungary over the next week.

'I'm just available,' he told reporters when asked where he was likely to play.
'It does not matter what I think. Those are questions for the coach. I am available for any position.'

On fire: Van Persie scored a hat-trick as Manchester United beat Southampton
Asked about his discussion with Van Gaal, he added: 'It was a good talk.'

Despite the possibility of being left out Van Persie, who has scored 29 goals for the Oranje, said he would always remain committed to his country.

'I still find it an honour to be here,' he was reported as saying in AD Sportwereld.
'That will not really change. Even if I will not play the next matches.'

Holland begin the road to Brazil 2012 with a home match against Turkey in Amsterdam on Friday before travelling to meet Hungary four days later.

I'LL PLAY ANYWHERE: RVP
