guys guys.....seriously no point comparing cos both devices give different user experience that might be poison to one, treasure for another
i am a convert from iphone to android and to be honest i love both for their own strengths cos of my priorities. they are:
1) user experience/built quality = iphone4/s
2) customization/power = android/my nexus
no one can fault them for their strengths which succesfully satisfied d mass market in the world, unless u speak for the world or people allow you to:)
below are my experiences with both devices:
ios is built around the hardware to give better user experience in terms of smoothness and fluidity (thats why alot of iphone users really loves the smoothness of iphone even with apps running in it such as themes aka launchers). in short ios is written/created base on the hardware current power and its so well written to cover for the lower powered device it runs smoothly like any other apple product. all their internal and external developers are scrutinised to be good at what they do thus there are no conflict on whatever apps that are created for the device. at the end iphone does not have a powerful device but with firmware and apps that are made around it to cover its flaws really works and sells.
android on the other hand has more powerful hardware (nice screen, nice speed, feature packed), so powerful that it made current iphones look dated. but becuase android is written/created before the hardware, the chasing boils down to device manufacturer to build bigger and better hardware to cope with the intensity and feature packed firmware. freedom is the keyword here (which i like it alot), its open to developers and users alike to do whatever they want with it, thus even with a powerful device, some famous apps are ill written or not complete making it feels slow and laggy (take note iphone users: its not ALL android's fault). yes project butter is a success, talking from experience, jb now is as smooth as ios, BUT because of some developers who did not write a perfect enough apps, it lags the whole experience by miliseconds when running on it.
All in all:
1) android device and firmware is power packed for heavy users that like to mod their device to exclusively suits the daily usage of the user, but ill written apps flaws the whole experience and like uncle ben will say, power comes responsibilities, it was not enough from the developer yet and that caused us batt life
2) apple has its good user experience base on fluidity and smoothness but due to less powerful devices, previous gens hardware are rendered 1 level down obselete once next gen ios is created
Seriously, both are good in their own way, iphone is the conti cars, android is the japs car maker, both has their own following as conti with upgrades is as fast and japs with modification can challenge any cars in the world, one cannot say the other is no good correct? come lets play with our device and enjoy rather than b****ing about others that dont earn us money at all:)
my 2 sen worth, dont flame me if i say anything wrong, this is just my experience on both devices, u can ignore it if u dont like:) no problem. happy to see your post. is much more better than ios/android fanboys (I'm neutral), as they never experience both but simple comment the each other. Let me ask you, is many android user switch to ios? I never step in iphone forum here. maybe you know better. This post has been edited by djlah: Aug 28 2012, 10:07 AM

QUOTE(FuNks @ Aug 29 2012, 10:30 AM) Why everyone jump to Cna? Is it that good? Hahha. QUOTE(Robottoes @ Aug 29 2012, 11:01 AM) Yep , good battery life ( for my usage ) and tons of customizations well said. if compare with AOKP, it's smooth and stable. (but I believe once AOKP finalize or reach M1, sure better) if compare with CM10, it's more customizations. CNA is most balance rom for me. diff ppl have diff requirement, there is no best rom but you can find best suitable rom for your daily usage after test yourself

QUOTE(Dannyl @ Aug 29 2012, 11:17 AM) Actually, I find flashing ROMs on Nexus not as exciting as flashing on, say, HTC. With HTC, I can flash a bloatware-free Sense ROM, or barebones CM9 ROM, or pretty and slick MIUI ROM, and they all look and feel very different. On Nexus, MIUI is laggy as hell, and all the other ROMs look more or less the same with that pure ICS/JB UI (dis-regarding themes). Strangely I don't flash as often with Nexus as I have with my previous non-Nexus phones... Is there any JB ROM which have some UI layer on top, like Touchwiz, Sense, etc? Please don't ask me to get Samsung/HTC phone as my Nexus is the best phone I've ever used... I just want to see something different UI-wise. haven't see any before, just tested applied Touchwiz & Sense themes. otherwise, extra widget and additional function not really impress me.

QUOTE(RyoKenzaki @ Aug 29 2012, 02:01 PM) Device advance payment is what? The device itself rm499 then advance pay rm600? O_O 2 years contract meant 24months * RM88 = RM2112 RM600 advanced payment will be rebate over this 24months. at last you still pay RM2112 + RM499 = RM2611 for 2year 88 monthly plan + gnex

QUOTE(ddee181 @ Aug 29 2012, 02:23 PM) maybe u would like beautiful widget or HD widgets thanks, already got both. But I like the weather reflected changing in full size of widget. beautiful or hd only small sun, rain icon, background still normal solid color or transparent. UCCW might able to get same output but I'm lazy to customize myself.

QUOTE(ngjx @ Aug 29 2012, 03:02 PM) thats correct! n 3 gb of mobile data... i think is too much ady... still i think the iDigi plan much more worth it..... RM58, free 200sms, 200 mins calls ...1gb data... but digi coverage so so only.... celcom data first plan also not bad. RM68 for 3GB (DiGi offer the same) but additionally, celcom free you 60 minutes talk times and free 60 sms (DiGi is PAYU). but the main drawback is not accept port in I heard, only open for new number.
