yes our striker should bear the blame for not converting...but how many times our midfielders giving them the supplies... hendo is like once in a blue moon he made such pass and become disappeared for most of the time... gerrard imo has done well in distributing the ball to the flank like kelly, also well weighted... even those passes not creating a direct scoring opportunities but it open up the space by playing the ball into wide area... i would say a half gerrard whose prime has past is still better than hendo... we have allen and lucas to do recycling the ball like some said before, all we need now is creativity when going into opposition... penetration is the word to describe what he lacks of... you can see allen keep trying to play the ball into the leg of striker... lucas took one or two seasons to establish himself to be first team player while allen needed just one game to show his true potential impressing the fans and i dare to say allen is better than lucas in offensive play... you mentioned he played on the left flank, in this match you can see br's gameplan doesnt need him to play like winger running down and crossing because our fullback cum left wing downing occupied the left flank... he supposed to link the connection btwn defensive mid allen and the striker but not receiving ball then one touch pass back and turn back and run go hiding then disappeared... defensive wise hes not good, offensive wise he has too limited creativity to do that... he needs to step up else he will just warm the bench in the league matches and feature in cup games...

imagine we have xavi or iniesta type of players in hendo position keep creating over-head lob passes or like you said well weighted through pass to suarez for him to beat the offside trap then he dont hav to always rely on himself to twist here and there nutmeg all four defenders to create the scoring chance himself...

Hmm anzhi can't even make it to the champions league after those Russian multimillionaire invested so heavily on the team? Udinese and anzhi.. Doesn't look like an easy group... Hope we will go far in uefa cup and the priority still has to be the league position!! Must improve...

dont worry guys... maybe we will get llorente on cheap in the jan window where bilbao are force to sell cheap... we might have tried to sign someone but we have learnt our lesson in dalglish era, no more being held ransom by others... so just be patient and wait for jan... it's not long to wait for jan transfer right? also, more high profile players coming in mean the expectation in return will be high on brendan rogers.. maybe with lesser resource he could surprise everyone in the end with less pressure... the german new kid we bought sit beside sahin during match against hearts, i have got a feeling he could play a part in first team when needed...
