QUOTE(azam_halim @ Sep 3 2012, 12:53 AM) carroll was only allowed to leave for loan when BR is confident we will get sturridge or/and dempsey...however since chelsea cant get Schurrle, sturridge is staying...and we only bid 4m for dempsey when spurs bid 6m.. btw, i tought carroll is only loaned out for a year...we can always recall him back whenever we want since he is still our player. he will only become whu player if whu pays the agreed fee next season...am i right? yes, but surely there's must be a clause in the loan contract that it can be only certain events be allowed for a call up like striker injured or something. otherwise west ham looks like a fool when we call carrol back just after a couple games. and what a stupid moves loaning out player without confirming a replacement first? btw, i already knew the mancs gonna win. their winning mentality is strong.. its been that way for a long time so thats why they've been dominating for years now. and having a good striker like rvp helps too.. QUOTE(aiyish @ Sep 3 2012, 01:04 AM) Let's be honest here, even with AC + Suarez + Borini, RVP will still be better than any of them, miiiillleesss better. i dont think anybody would argue with you there.. maybe not miles better.. but better.. two hundred metres maybe?

whoa.. some people get carried away after losing a game.. its the 3rd game of the season. relax. give BR and the players some time.
whats with the suarez hate? by now we fans should know that his finishing is not really good (at least with us). but he replace that shortcomings with opening spaces and creating chances for other players. granted, except the man city game, he is not on his best but he gave 100% and played with heart. plus he definitely looks tired. he have been playing a lot of games and got less resting time because he played in the olympics.
he has been the best players for us for so many games so please give him some slack will you? not respecting him because doesn't perform consistently.. negrito pleasee...

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Sep 3 2012, 11:54 AM) He play on the left of an attacking trident, so I don't think it's accurate to say he was on the flank. Against Arsenal, he repeated came in-field to a more central position, dragging Gibbs with him, which mean that Podolski had to track Glen Johnson, who was out wide whenever we went forward. I would however like to see him swap positions with Suarez as I feel the latter is better with his feet and creating whilst Borini is the type of player whose first instinct isn't to create like Suarez's is, but rather, to finish. We did indeed. I think the Joe Allen acquisition is proving out to be a real coup. He was superb last night in his role at the back. He never lost possession and his passing was spot on. At one point towards the end as we were pushing forward, he brought the ball all the way up to the edge of the Arsenal box and danced past 2-3 defenders who were trying to get the ball off him. He's still only 22 so we need to hold on to this one. I'm thinking teams will come sniffing at the end of the season and maybe even as early as January. Snubbing Dempsey may have been down to principle but given the stakes involved, one could also have put it down to stubbornness. I don't really blame Fulham for quoting us higher especially after we basically assumed he was already one, telling the media he was on his way. Well the good thing is we aren't in debt so the situation isn't as dire but you're right, it looks like only a matter of time before fans direct their frustration some place and FSG are the obvious targets. The fans are smart enough to know that Rodger's wasn't going to build a title challenging side over night. my thought on Borini as well. I felt Suarez is more suitable there while Borini in front. Suarez can drag the fullbacks to give our wingbacks space to supply the ball to center. However, since both our wing back is prone to attack this will make us vulnerable on counter attack as demonstrate by the Goons yesterday. The job to nullify this counter was supposed to be Lucas jobs but since he is out Allen have to take over. So far Allen is doing a good job there but I felt while his ball distribution is ace his tackling and ball winning is still behind Lucas. I also would like Stevie changes places with Allen because he has been poor on his current role so far. Make Gerard play deep because he still has that good vision and decision for that deadly through ball. yeah, what I have read that loaning out Caroll and the failure to sign Dempsey/replacement is higher ups faults... not BR.. QUOTE(dillonyong @ Sep 3 2012, 03:10 PM) We got the speedy Diouf (20m), Diao (5.5m) and Cheyrou (5m). Total is $30.5 million. Brilliant piece of business! If you calculate the inflation rate of that investment 10 years ago, it would be equivalent to more than $50 million today. you lost me there.... back in that that its outrageous to fork that much money for mediocre players like them.. none of them ever come close to called decent signing

He knows where the goal is but he cant score anymore. He was deadly back then because of his speed.. not really technical. Now his speed has gone i doubt he do any better then what we have now. Maybe i just still bitter about him..
Based on morgan's performance in Hearts game.. he ia not ready for PL.
