smoke screen, fergie just wanted us to pay dearly. (he was never interested in adam at all).

his statement basically jack up his price, "his corners alone is worth 10 million"

this is typical horsebidding type of bluff, of which is fergies' fav hobby (bids on horse racing etc). Again we fell to his bluff, despite everyones wide open eyes said adam isn't worth more then 3-5millilon. I know there were those who defended him as being the lynchpin for blackpool. (but forgot his disastrous spell at rangers)

that being said. it's painful to see such money wasted, down the drain. sad.gif

but we move on.

the worrying part

Last season Liverpool’s number one and clear problem was their lack of goals. Even Blackburn scored more than us (48 vs 47). Yet somehow we have ended the transfer window with less forwards than we started with.

We can afford Dempsey. It's not about the $1million extra we have to pay. It's about refusing to pay.
The club felt that we were bullied in this situation, hence refuse to pay.

We can also afford Drog's wages after releasing 9 players and recruiting only 3. The question is, will we do it? I doubt the present management will be so generous.

Maybe we can "pay"

Someone mentioned it's BR's stubborn pride not to overpay. BR is probably right About the chap that spurned us for spurs. It's hard to really know, it could be his ballsy show how he can help save FSG's money long term.

I don't know.

I too advocate sometimes some talent(s) is worth the money. Sometimes we need to spend correctly. Not guided by sentiments. Which our buy british brigade was a total waste of resources the last time. Dalglish may have his reasons to get those players but not at that price.
