planning to buy intel ssd 520 480Gb (RM1167) or
520 240Gb (RM558)  hmm.gif

now ssd price is dropping, IMO go for a size that u need now, buy 240gb now then maybe when ur 240gb is full, that rm500 balance can buy another 500GB already

i'm using crucial m4 64gb. previously on asus p8z77-m, i can boot into window before the logo complete. now i changed my mobo to asus p8p67 deluxe, also comes with SATA 3 and already set to AHCI. but now the boot time become slower. i checked with the window index ( i know this is not accurate ) but i just want to make sure the setting is correct, i still manage to get 7.9 score

simple questions,
1)how much is a 64, 128 & 256 gb SSD now?
-any brand. 64gb-RM190~250 128GB-RM299~400 256GB-RM500 above
3)what the acceptable surrounding temp for SSD?
-my room is a bit hot (28~33') not sure, but should be okay with that temperature
2)I also wondering does the rm250 student voucher (from gov.) is applicable for the purchase of SSD.
-  last time, xternal HDD = yes if u can find a book store selling SSD i think should be yes

Guys. can briefly explain to me what's the use of SSD ?

the storage capacity ain't much right?

the only thing i know is that it can run insanely fast.

but i aint sure what's the meaning of that so called fast.

windows run faster or games run smoother?
any brands recommendation ?
*
windows boot up faster, file transfer in/out SSD faster, load program faster
games only load faster but not run smoother
