Hi guys. 3-weeks old OCZ Vertex 3 240GB user here.

Just curious. Intel SSD is one of the most reliable among other brands right? but why it is not so popular compared to Crucial, Corsair, Kingston etc?

I've been looking at trade section. Just a few traders selling Intel 520 SSDs.

Intel SSDs are pricey as compared to other brands for the same capacity.
I disagree on the bold part, as you could see there are actually many resellers for 520s HERE

I got no one else to blame but myself. I didn't do much research on the pricing, let alone reading this thread.

I was only referring to czone's pricelist for Vertex3 240GB and came across the same model having a 'sale' at amazon uk around 150 pounds. Then I came to know that the price I paid is similar to what LYN seller's offering at trade zone laugh.gif , and worse, just realized about Vertex 3 failure rate. Fingers crossed. I hope mine is ok. No problem so far.

Price of Vertex 3 240GB and Intel 520 240GB doesn't differs much I see.. but both are quite expensive compared to the popular M4.

If I knew, I would have bought the 520 instead. lol

Apart from Bootracer, is there any reliable software that you guys use to measure boot time?
