Plextor M5S 128GB @ RM 299 is already at a good bargain. Better grab it before is gone. Is true right now RAM and SSD price is increasing due to shortage. Now is not the best time to get RAMS but while SSD is selling at low price, grab it first  biggrin.gif

True, its a steal.

that's bad. Those manufacturer purposely reduce production to mark up the price, the big Japan manufacturer bankruptcy initiated this trend.

I am gonna hunt for SSD already. Eat Maggie mee for this month  sweat.gif

You should do that fast while plextor still offering it.

Guys. can briefly explain to me what's the use of SSD ?

the storage capacity ain't much right?

the only thing i know is that it can run insanely fast.

but i aint sure what's the meaning of that so called fast.

windows run faster or games run smoother?
any brands recommendation ?
*
U have highlighted the main point.
Obviously it reduces your boot time and reduces your game/application load time since it is blazing fast.

I think I use it wrongly, I only put O/S, and other essential program in SSD, like MS office, Photoshop... etc. Game wise, all installed in my nomal 7200rpm harddisk...
*
some game takes up a lot of space so its ok if u just install in normal 7200rpm hdd.

All except Plextor, which it drop from RM3xx to RM29x. Still, I'm not quite sure why they're selling that cheap. hmm.gif

Have you heard of "Introductory Price"?

QUOTE(OC4/3 @ Apr 22 2013, 12:19 AM)
Maybe distributor lower margin to penetrate market perhaps??
Can't be reseller selling at very low margin when their margin is low enough
*
Its a marketing strategy. They have to do it to penetrate the market full of competitors(common brands) like Sandisk, Kingston, Intel, Ocz, G-Skill, OWC, Mushkin, Corsair, and more.
