Planning on building my first pc in August/September. A friend of mine is selling his Intel 510 Series 250GB SSD (owned for a year) for AUD$120 (RM360 approx.). EDIT: He is also selling his Corsair Force 120GB SSD (owned for a year and a half) for AUD$60 (RM180 approx.).
Since my SSD knowledge is sub par, what do you guys think about buying a secondhand SSD? What is the selling price of those SSDs in Malaysia?

QUOTE(Yagami5159 @ Jun 14 2013, 03:39 PM) Not recommended, especially for Discontinued SATA II SSDs and with the price like that I rather buy a new one IMHO. Some hardware are just not suitable for 2nd hand re-sale, and SSD are one of em. I thought the Intel 510 series is SATA III?

QUOTE(Yagami5159 @ Jun 14 2013, 03:46 PM) Yes, but they're discontinued, Main point is, get a new one, because old used SSD tend to have minor defects. (that's why they keep making new model of SSD to eliminate bugs and known defects) Okay, noted. Thanks
