Sorry to be lazy in advance.
Planning to get an SSD.
Budget 300,what is the spec and pricing from Lowyat i could get ??

Any help guys?

Intel 330 120GB would suit your budget. The lowest price i found in LYP is RM310(C-Zone).
Intel = Reliability + 3 Years Warranty. smile.gif

Wow! Should go 256 m4 or raid 0 120gb 330? Mmm....

Just notice when i was looking around the pricelist. Damn cheap!

So guys, i already placed an order from Newegg Malaysia for Samsung 830 128GB, RM310+RM25 postage to my place. But this Intel price is just too good. Should i cancel my order and go for Intel?

I'm hoping you guys can answer my question. I've been looking at newegg pricing, 120gb SSDs like Intel 330, neutron, crucial m4 and samsung 830 all have retail price about 120usd but they mostly sell around 100usd now. Plus shipping to malaysia thats only about rm325 more or less, whereas local vendors are selling these, except the intel 330, around rm360-400. So would it be recommended to just ship in from u.s because it sounds like a very good deal? In fact as of right now the OCZ vertex 4 is going for only 99usd from the rrp of 139usd.

Also according to corsair's websites it offers 5 year warranty but the garage sale posts only offer 3 years for their neutrons (not the gtx), is that just because we're Malaysia? sad.gif

Before you buy any item from Newegg, make sure you ask all about the warranty of that item. Because there's an item when it shipped outside US, it will void the warranty. I already asked them (Newegg Malaysia) about Samsung product, they say Samsung didnt state any void of warranty if shipped outside US. And you must know that in order to do RMA, you need to send back the item to US which is quiet a hassle (at least for me). And you need to pay half of the cost for shipping back to US. Idk if I can do RMA through Samsung Malaysia since mine its not local unit. hmm.gif

If you just want to be safe, you better buy here @ local store. But you do need to fork out some money though since the price is quiet higher than offered by Newegg. But look on the bright side, you can 1-to-1 exchange if anything happen to your ssd in a week time & its easier for RMA purpose. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hey guys. I'm leaning towards Vertex 4 128GB right now. Same price with Samsung 830. But OCZ offer 5 years warranty. Should i go for Vertex 4 instead? I do heard OCZ released a new firmware. FW 1.5 is it? How was it now? hmm.gif Its my 1st ssd btw so i dont want to have a problematic hardware. sweat.gif

what is your budget? Intel 520 is 5 years warranty also and intel failure rate is the lowest.
*
My budget is around RM350 only. Intel 520 is way to expensive for me. sad.gif
I don't really care about the speed, as long it reaches around 480MB++ then it's consider okay. The most important aspect is the reliability. I already narrow my choice for Intel 330 or Samsung 830. But Vertex 4 keeps coming to my head. laugh.gif

with rm350 budget i suggest you go for intel 330 for reliability. Crucial M4 also good know for its reliability read can reach 5xxmb but write is max around 17xmb which im using now. vertex 4 giving 5 years warranty becoz of new chipset indilinx.
*
Oh okay thanks. I will stick with Samsung 830/Intel 330/Crucial m4. Will pick 1 of them depends on the price. tongue.gif

Yeah, but still there's small chance you will get a faulty unit. Hopefully mine works as usual & can last long enough. smile.gif
