Yup, but iirc some other SSD already selling at cheaper price, you still can connect the SSD to eSATA port provided your mobo support SATA 6GB/s, but the sata power connector is a bit hassle to connect sweat.gif
some SSD bundle a enclosure(Kingston HyperX SSD upgrade kit for example) to connect your SSD to USB port(no messy wires), but the transfer rat will be stuck at 480MBit/s (60MB/s) doh.gif

480MBit/s (60MB/s) ..is there a formula for conversion of figures?

Does any vendor still sell SSD with SATA 2 specs for 60/64 or 120/128 GB ?

I know that but I am buying sata 2 for the sake of installing on a 2006 notebook with only sata 1. sad.gif

If buy sata 3 to use for sata 1, is overkill.

What say you all?

Is there an existing thread that discusses ways to clone existing HDD data (selected data; mainly C drive) to the SSD ? using cables & special software

Before that, can the SSD be partitioned whilst not yet placed in the primary SATA bay ?

http://www.sandisk.com/products/ssd/sata/readycache/

Can install to desktop & laptop with 2 drive bays (17" laptop) or any laptop with replaceable SATA CD-ROM drive bay.

Can get it direct from Amazon, Newegg or
Facebook.com/neweggMalaysia

Change all bios settings (ahci etc etc) appropriately first, then reinstall Windows. Easier tongue.gif

Do u think its probable that older notebooks (pre-2007) may not feature AHCI to support SATA SSD drives ?

Jio, then what's your take on Corsair Force GT & Force 3 that uses the older Sandforce 2200 ? Why these drives are priced so much higher than Sandisk Extreme that uses SF-2281 ?
