I'm a 3 years owner for the kenari oredi and  I'm willing to get some opinion (in current market la) for some minor modification & to my lil stock red Kenari bird. Any ways I can do to improve the design, driveability & handling from the stock one. Model: Kenari Aerosport 1.0M/T 2013 (the "superman" advertisement facelift i guess LOL)
1. Taillamps( i've seen some kenari-es has super cool "Audi"-like tail lamps)
2. Does the Front Strut bars from ultraracing help in its sampan-ish ride ah?
3. Necessary to replace stock air filter to after-market CAI? or exhaust system? in order to gain significant horse power to the Kei?
3. Suspensions... any idea? (i have no idea in suspension really)

Current problems fixed & solved since 2nd half of year 2016 until now:
1. Brake rotors and brake pads (front&rear) replacement for RM600
2. Battery replacement (common)
3. Engine Gasket

Problems haven't been solved until now:
1. Squeaking sound when engine is heavy load, i.e. High revving around 4k-5.5k --- Mechanic discovered that it may be the clutch problem. what's your opinion?
2. The Hissing Sound (air intake part, i guess from my ears :3) when car is accelerating at high 3k rev range(not often but when u do it u'll hear it...), sometimes in 5k rpm. --- My mechanic still cannot discover the problem yet, and so i am asking for suggestion and assistance here.
Hopefully our sifu-sifu of Kenari can drop by some suggestions. Always happy to get nice suggestions from you all. Oh ya, and not to forget, anyone has the information about the YRV K3vet Keicars and next Kenari Owners meet up? Can't wait to see the pocket rocket and nicely tuned and moded keis around Selangor.

hopefully can keep it up at this level... thumbup.gif

Next project, install an ICE to my birdie...
Just use an old setup from my old car...
Focal K2 Power KF speaker + Steq QM 105.4... whistling.gif  whistling.gif
Since this birdie only have small space for the bonnet, will try to live without a subwoofer... sweat.gif

So, if let say after almost a year of purchase, some above stated item occurred..
Do you guys suggest to be treated or serviced as perodua service centre? and first of all, will they entertain us?

Because, worried being scam/cheated if serviced outside. sad.gif

My car is 12 this year, milage around 304k km and still stock, never open for any repairs yet.

The car is durable of u maintain it properly like proper fluids and oils.

For repairs i go to my regular workshop as i doubt the competency of those SC mechanic. The last i went to SC was to buy a driver side door visor as i wanted an ori aerosoort visor and outside not selling. Most of th minor and major repairs can be done if u have a reliable mechanic

Thanks for sharing your experience with perodua service centre.

My manual gearbox oil seal leaking.

Any idea how much budget i need to prepare to repair it?
If can recommend workshop within Klang Valley to repair it, then better.
*
to change the seal, the engine must be out from the car due to the design. might as well change the cluych together when u are going to do that, roughly around 7xx cheapest.

i had a MT kenari too, just had the clutch and all the necessary part replaced from months back.

Seal aged. Quoted by 3 mechanics repair price between RM1300-2000.

Not worth the risk repairing so i jus sold off the car. After repair donno what other parts gonna be repair again, non stop costs bombing repairs 😂
*
to overhaul the gearbox also don't cost that much

even change the whole unit is still cheaper than the price they qoute u

I just change the my auto gear box (recon).
All in for RM1200.
Since the engine is down, I change the timing belt, engine mounting, servicing the car.. A bit here and there.

All above for RM2000
*
my fren change his AT gearbox for less than 1k

450 for the gearbox, included labour and all around 800 only

450 for gearbox must be from Halfcut.
But 800 for labour is too much.

800 is all in including gearbox and labour

I need to remove the screws label as red circle in the picture below then can remove the headlight unit to access the socket behind the lamp.

Is it easy to remove and replace back the front headlight unit?

I am afraid that I can remove easily and difficult to put back the unit.  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
