hey guys, there will be a meet up/tt this Saturday night 10pm at pj, exact location tbc. pm me or kllam for more info.

nice.will try to make it if i dont have any plans.

btw,my car seems to die whenever i stop at idle (waiting for traffic lights, pay parking). it didnt die right when it stops, but maybe 5 seconds after. is it the aircond comp? since if i dont turn on the aircond it can idle just fine :/

Hi guys , I'm planning to get a kenari for city drive. Does kenari have any major problem? I searched the web got some said kenari's absorber easy to give up , handling bad ( I think I can accept it since use to city drive onli) , many sound , other than that still duno yet. But I hope u guys can share ur kenari experience with me XD. Thx alot!
*
nope.no major problem iinm. depends on how you maintain the car really. absorber+handling can ask sifu jaesern and kllam laugh.gif mine's pretty reliable-ish if i didnt meddle with it so much. a great car for city drive due to its visibility.

hi sifus, im planning to purchase kenari 1.0 (A) mfg 2006, mileage 90K..
what to expect on the running problem in future?
Can advise so that i can prepare on the running cost..

TQ all!
*
Nothing much really..provided it was well taken care off. being 90k I would change the timing belt. and depending on condition maybe valve cover leak, no big deal really.

Do check thoroughly because 90k for 11 years is like less than 10k km per year.

what about engine? because its a second hand car and i dont know what are the parts have been changes since the salesman always say the engine is as-is basis.
*
perodua engine in my experience is quite robust..had few of em and all are able to stand abuse lol. As for the car you're looking at, unless you open the engine you dont really know what has been change. justmake sure there is no excessive rattling/noise from the engine, aircond is cold and working correctly and no unusual noise from the suspension area. Check if there's any oil leakage around the block/on the floor. But do note that it is an old model, so don't expect everything to be perfect.

So, if let say after almost a year of purchase, some above stated item occurred..
Do you guys suggest to be treated or serviced as perodua service centre? and first of all, will they entertain us?

Because, worried being scam/cheated if serviced outside. sad.gif
*
personally I wouldn't send to service centre, as I prefer going to our club (as in kenari club) recommended workshop. but yeah they will entertain you, even if you brought in kancil. But don't expect the price to be same as outside workshop.

but jaesern and kllam just diy their own cars laugh.gif

I usually go to bengkel yusof, puchong (after giatmara puchong besides ldp), or zastras autopart in selayang. there are a few more but cant recall right now.

Thx for the reply ..😊

Will get the alternator check..

And ya... the reason I might consider of the Jb Det 4 cyl coz it's smoother for the less vibration .. not really that I need more power ..also it's not that pricey for this halfcut

Will try to source out more on the mounting 1st b4 decide.. really need to ask some opinion b4 getting it..

😊😊
*
as a jb owner, yes it is smooth. even idle you hardly feel vibrations. but on highway you need to rev high in order to get to cruising speed. in town tho, really nice.

I'd still recommend you to use the old engine. the power delivery of the stock engine is better than jb. hp also not a lot diff.
