QUOTE(exshige @ Apr 24 2013, 03:00 PM) been using the XP2 for 2 weeks+... the base is good, watching movies using it felt like using headphone... My personal recommendation will be Foam tips, it can solve this problem.the only problem is the heavy cable and driver... easily loosen the insertion if u constantly turning your head like working on a 2 monitor... and the problem is compounded when tip size gap is too big.. i can't find a right size tip for a right fit... sad... |

QUOTE(bahathir @ Apr 25 2013, 02:40 PM) Hi, I just got the XP3 few hours ago. Great review!1) Quickly I put my custom sleeves and screwed them into my ears. 2) Plugged it to iBasso D10 Cobra which connected to MBP via TOSLINK. MBP -TOSLINK-> iBasso D10 ==? IEMs 3) I test with few test clips. General impression Bass: Good quantity and quality sub bass. Very nice bass punch. Mid : Voice/vocal slightly laid back. Treble : Laid back at 4-7KHz range. This make oumph of the 'impact' and clarity slightly reduced. But, the higher end is good and sparkling. Conclusion, compared to my reference custom IEMs, Unique Melody Mage (4 BA drivers) and other IEMs. Typical 'popular' V shape sound signature, A little more forward mid should be nice. Not as sensitive as UM3Xs and Mage, so need to cranked up the volume. This reminds me the PFE 112. XP3s are about the Westone UM3Xs with better treble. XP3s have better bass than PFE 112 v1, but laid back mid and treble. Nice for watching movies. Just sit back and enjoy the sound. Even though this is 0 hour impression, ie not 'burned in' yet, the bass is superb, and perform very well. I may update the review later. Thank you. I'm still using my XP3 for casual listening or outdoor usage. |

Yeap, according to user experience, 100 to 200 hours of burn in will improve a lot.So guys, will the bass getting tighter if i burn in more?? QUOTE(Silfer @ Jun 1 2013, 01:04 PM) hey guys, I have a xp3 and now thinking of getting either Fiio E6 or E1. QUOTE(exshige @ Jun 17 2013, 02:06 PM) how can we ensure the Hippo foam size can fit since it comes in only 1 size? me also find the default tip by Beyer is very uncomfortable... It kinda like comply, which most of the earphone have identical size of noozles, so the M500 able to fit, i'm using them for my XP as well, so far everything is fine.why the hippo foam is a disposable item? can't i use 1 pair for 1yr? Disposable, if you can tahan your earwax on the foam for a year, you can try to use them that long, however i recommend to change them frequent as they are not expensive as comply foam. |

QUOTE(Randomization @ Jul 26 2013, 07:28 PM) Hi guys, want to ask, which profile best suit for EDM (trance, progressive)? Gonna get it in lowyat plaza, dont think can audition. Personally i recommend XP2, balance between top and bass. You can try at the Macstudio at BBpark, just opposite of Macstudio in Lyn plaza. |

QUOTE(franitalia @ Sep 5 2013, 12:37 AM) Hi guys,i'm interested in this XP series, but i can't decide between XP2 and XP3 after reading so much reviews from you guys, It depends, personally i do recommend XP2, XP3 is not a huge boost on mid/treble, however it make them very slight flat, to not over extend on any frequency.Rig:HTC One,Sansa Clip+ Musical genres:Mostly pop songs,a lil bit of rnb and jazz, and enjoys electronic/dance every now and then Usage:Music and movies However i've a few dillemas: 1)If i were to use the XP for watching movies, then i should be getting XP3 since it emphasizes more on mid to treble, rite? I do want the dialogues mentioned by the actors to be clear. 2)On the other hand, for music with a lot instruments, you want to enjoy the vocals together with the accompanying background music. However, most pop songs don't rely much on instruments, but with computer processed sounds. Here is a sneak peek to what kind of music i often listen to: Any food for thought would be much aprreciated.Btw walabies,UGPM QUOTE(simmarjit @ Sep 10 2013, 12:17 AM) My XP 1 just died on me Proceed to Jaben and claim warranty. They can help you on that. |
