QUOTE(jianxiang @ Jun 14 2013, 10:46 PM) Guys, i have a few questions regarding Shell. for your question 1. I have received an email from Shell to pick an interview time slot. Is that 'SRD' which u guys have been talking bout? 2. I'm accounting and finance background student graduating in coming July. Should i do thorough research on exploration of oil and so on or will they be asking questions relating back to my profession, which is accounting/finance/business? 3. How long does the interview normally last and how many sections are there? So far from previous threads i can expect there will be case studies, presentation, interview. But what i'm worried about is group discussion which i might be getting topics out of my profession like engineering. Thanks! 1. No, its NOT, SRD come after this , provided u pass this interview 2. No, basically they will ask something based on your past experience. speak from what you DID. 3. those stage u mention could only happen in SRD, which u should be less worry now, the interview session last around an hours. just one session basically the interview is like a discussion of your past experience, so no one can help except yourself actually. Revise on wat you did in past, could be academic , non-academic related , or Job Anyway , good luck !! This post has been edited by MUFTW: Jun 14 2013, 11:07 PM |

QUOTE(zest420 @ Jun 16 2013, 05:51 PM) ....it has become a habit in Malaysia for people to give preferences to their own race and SHELL is no exception. My interviewer was cold as an ice...attended it this week. why would you think so? just because your interviewer was cold as an ice ? ur interviewer doesn't need to show u any emotional expression actually, because he/she is observing & assessing you, is reasonable for them to keep calm / cold u said. personally i think shell does not / have less the issue that u mentioning, I visited shell office in KL and i dun see any big percentage of certain races, i only see a mixture of local and foreigner. U only attended interview once in shell and i think it is unfair if u judge it based on that...i think only those who currently work or worked before inside can offer a better answer I just don't agreed u to put some judgement based on something you doesn't even have a clear view. cheers This post has been edited by MUFTW: Jun 17 2013, 11:03 AM |

QUOTE(zephyrus9999 @ Jun 17 2013, 12:27 PM) I also wished my interviewer was warm and friendly like most of people did. My as well was cold as ice.. 1.5 hours not even a goddamm smile :/ an interviewer being warm and friendly doesn't mean u have higher chance to success in the interview, after all it still depend on your performance during the interview, they could be cold or warm, but in the end, their objective is the same, to see if u're suit for the company. Their face does not make any different of thatTo others, its also a fact SHELL is not being exempted from quota thingy. So ppl work hard lah to cover up the disadvantage and i dun think there is any disadvantage on that, if you do perform in their interview, u get in to shell, if u dun , u simply not capable. I see all races passes through SRD or attended SRD. This post has been edited by MUFTW: Jun 17 2013, 02:05 PM |
