Yes. From what I see 80% local Chinese and 10-20 Malays and Indians. I am not sure it's a good sign though. Sigh. At least it's better than PH but on the other hand setiawalk is becoming another setapak zz

If local students, then it is a lot better than PH / ME.

It depends on how they take on them. If only 4-5 pax per unit, it can be considerable but not 7-8 or up to 10 pax per unit.

According to the parents, 3pax for master room. 2 for middle and 1 for small room. And they were around 100plus over checking in yesterday. Can any of the owner confirm this? I am really curious how much the rental as I see the renovation is really minimal. Not even kitchen cabinet and some no grills

Oic. Means u oso din ask the rate?

Taylors will pay lower and rent from owners. But they charged the students quite high fee n the total 6 pax will combine a huge sum of not less than RM 2.5 to 3k.

The parents said it's inclusive in their fees for 2yrs. They just need to pay some amount of deposit which was not disclosed to me.

Ya of course, all colleges now are damm smart.

They act as everything "bao kah liow" inclusive hostel services within nice condo + commercial area and college bus to pick up. The contract is normally depending on the course they study, should be terms of 2 semesters each and I think 2 years could be too long. But they included a higher fee where they rent at lower rate and rent out to this students at higher rates.

When I was a Taylors student, I remember that, we were only given options of lousy apartment ( about 10 years back ) and most of my ex- college mates of outstation took it. It was 3 pax for master bed and 2 pax each for the 2 medium rooms. The combine rental paid was about RM 2,000 - 2,200 per month inclusive electricity without air con and later found out, the market rental of the partly furnished unit was only RM 1,000 - 1,200 p/m max.

The contract is one year and Taylors wanted us to pay 3 months deposit + 3 months advance payment, which I didn't opt for due to I have friends helped me to find a decent house for sharing basis.

Taylors now doing the same for my other condo in Sunway Suria Mas, thats why the rental demand was so good here and the prop price shoot up from RM 220k ( VP price at mid 2008 ) and easily RM 480k ( now ) with rental over RM 2,500 pm.

Referring to Taylor's sunway or subang
*
Both.

I was an ex-Subang Taylorian. The students here still have some choices of nearby landed houses for rental, and walkable to commercial shops especially AsiaCafe their most fave hand out spot.

Meanwhile, Taylorians of Bdr Sunway could be even tougher and lesser choice to fill up all the choices btw Sunway Ridzuan, cheaper but a lot lousier or Sunway Suriamas, which is more newer and clean.

Taylors new campus have some choices btw it's residence towers but heard not enough, so it might be tempted them to go to Puchong to search for service apartments to accommodate the students.

Puchong really has a lot of $$$ minded agents around and did something behind the back of owners, esp those outstation ...

The Zest had caught a few agents and were kicked out by the management due to rent out the units to PH / students with higher rental and used a fake tenancy with the owners at lower price.

Thanks god most of them already kicked out and no more renewal tenancy allowed for the PH and ME upon expiry.

What an irony just 50m away is the MSC status PFCC which has high speed internet. Malaysia boleh !
*
The prob is the rental asking price for the PFCC is also MSC and almost KLCC status. Occupancy rates very low.

I meant to say that the problem faced by SW with higher speed internet is purely a "connection" (pun intended) problem. Seems SPS has to exercise their muscle on this.

Dont say the residents need the High Speed Connection, even I yumcha at any retails of SW also have difficulty of internet accessibility. My friends banned me to ask them to go yumcha at SW since long time ago.
