Triple buffering should be on all the time, I see no reason to off it.

Adaptive V-Sync are still early stage, it gonna need to take like 1-2yrs to reach perfection, in the mean time just use ingame V-Sync with tripple buffering on.

GTX 600 series got a worldwide stutter issue right now rclxub.gif
so far i found only fifa 12 experienced it. 1 sec stutter.

there were some issues with Kepler's vsync. nvidia recommend to turn it off in game/NV panel rclxub.gif

NVIDIA GeForce 304.79 Beta

Key Fixes
Fixes an intermittent vsync stuttering issue with GeForce GTX 600-series GPUs.
Fixes an issue where some manufacturer’s factory overclocked cards default to and run at lower clocks.

FIFA 12 give me stutter. gonna try this driver

+1. But I don't think he will neither buy multiple monitor or upgrade ssd for gaming purpose cause.

1) Most of us don't prefer to do gaming on multiple monitor due to the monitor panel, like me laugh.gif

2) SSD won't make so huge performance on gaming wise, even loading its just around less than 5 seconds improvement. But then its good for those database gaming like Football Manager, or he's a speed demand freak tongue.gif

Nonetheless, I would recommend him just like your said, saving the money at the moment. If he's really into the gaming, i think every year he will need to change his graphic card. XD
*
i'm not a big fan multiple monitor. my eyes don't have a wide view during gaming.
i constantly focus at my char or cross hair hahaha.

single display 1080p would enuff for me. nod.gif
let see how GTA V did.

i love game like GTA style. i love modding car model, texture,ENB Graphic mod etc. rclxub.gif

Meaning i have to turn off Adaptive Vsync? At vertical sync, there's 5 options(Use the 3D application setting, Off, On, Adaptive, Adaptive(half refresh rate). Should i choose "On"?
*
just set vertical sync : Use the 3D application setting
set triple buffering on to improve performance during vsync on.

make sure driver 304.79.
