660 Ti is such a lovely card. low heat, low noise with the Asus DirectCU II. biggrin.gif folding 24/7 and don't feel the heat nor noise like my other nVidia cards, despite custom coolers. 24/7 load and heat don't even reach 80c.

Hi, recently I noticed that my MSI 680 has been running a liltte hot, idling at 68c with its fan RPM at 1300-ish. Should I RMA it?
*
Actually not very bad
68 C idle is normal back in GTX280/GTX295/GTX480 days laugh.gif
Anyway, try changing the thermal paste with something better like Tuniq TX3 etc
This sure as heck will help cause OEM usually give you crappy thermal paste one smile.gif

Wouldn't that voids the warranty? I mean prying the case to take the cooler out and re-apply the thermal paste thing?

*
No lah
If got warranty sticker, take hair blow to heat it up than peel it off and stick it onto a sticker paper
After done stick it back laugh.gif

izzit the noise and temperature result also satisfied??
*
You read reference design review, that applies to all reference design
BTW temperature can somewhat be improved with application of high performance thermal compound as typical thermal compound that come stock on graphic card is kinda crappy
You can get like 10 C lower under load with high performance thermal compound
That's what i do to all of my graphic card smile.gif

Depends whether you really want to go for a reference model or a non-reference one. Also Leadtek comes with an extra 1 year warranty and is cheaper. Personally I like non-reference cards, so I might probably go with Galaxy. laugh.gif
*
Much rather go for Leadtek reference design
Just replace the TIM for better performance brows.gif

Hye All Sifu~ really need help. icon_question.gif

I want to buy new Graphic Card but dont have any clue or idea..so hope sifu2 here can suggest me what best & good GC rite now.. so in my mind rite know just nvidia geforce gtx 550 ti / 660 ti. is it make any different between ASUS, GIGABYTE & MSI??  rclxub.gif

Is it will be good enough using 550 ti?? what about processor become like a bottle-neck??  hmm.gif

most usage will be playing current game. no need 3d setup. just can play high setup without lagging.. planning to upgrade GC 1st then go to latest m/b & processor after got other cash..  whistling.gif

BUDGET GC: rm1200

Current Rig:

Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz
Gigabyte EP45-DS3
NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT
Kingston 3x2GB 800 MHZ
Samsung SyncMaster 2233SW
*
Get a Leadtek GTX660 TI 2GB@~RM1k or so and a FSP Hexa 500W@~RM200 or so
Should play nicely with your budget smile.gif

Nope, only difference is price, stock clock speed, cooler, bundle and warranty
IMO the premium major manufacturer asking for is unjustified brows.gif

Guys, why Leadtek for GTX660Ti and 670 are so cheap compare to Asus, MSI and others?

Is it worth to go for K version of the Core i5 if dun want to overclock...Z77 is the overclocking mobo chipset what's the next for the best non-overclocking chipset, is there any significant improvement at all is using K cpu?

Errr distributor markup??
I rather save the difference smile.gif

True... Because Leadtek GeForce GTX 670 is only RM 1099 in Garage Sales.

Problem of Leadtek is using BLUE PCB. Doesn't look nice, IMO.

If budget higher(a bit), I think MSI GeForce GTX 670 PE, ASUS GeForce GTX 670 DCU II, Palit GeForce GTX 670 Jetstream, etc will be a nicer choice. Their performance are on par with Radeon HD 7970 and GeForce GTX 680.
And, they can OC further too!!  smile.gif
*
Not necessary better component guarantee you further OC ability laugh.gif
Most of that lie in the core quality itself, that's the biggest determinant factor of how far can you oc biggrin.gif

Based on some feedback I decided to replace my old card to 650.

Bought it for RM360 Leadtek 1GB Nvidia 650.

Question now is whether my PSU is able to sustain it.

My PSU is Seasonic 520Watts.

Currently powering;

- DVDROM
- SSD 60GB
- 250GB SATA
- Nvidia 650 GPU

Is it sufficient?
*
Seasonic 520W have enough of power to power any single GPU setup smile.gif

if u dont care having reference cooling,u can get leadtek 670 as the performance slightly better than msi gtx 660ti pe for a price of msi gtx 660ti pe.
but if u want better cooling and capability for oc,u can get msi gtx 660ti pe.but then, the performance of 660ti pe if u oc it only slightly better than 670.bear in mind that 670 also can be oc-ed to match performance of gtx680..
hope this will help u

edited:both of them having 3 years warranty

Well, from my experience reducing temperature of GC does not necessary translate into better OC result smile.gif
Most of the factor is depend on the core quality and v being pushed than cooling
Of course, your graphic card will oc better significantly if we are talking about sub zero temperature but that also depend on the voltage you are pushing through it
