QUOTE(IntensiveBytes @ Jan 14 2013, 04:41 PM) This is true. I rarely even reach 1.2MB/s. We are probably capable of reaching sky high speeds, but that would all depend on our account. I have no idea how Azizul managed to get crazy speeds of 2MB/s++ even if his account is 10Mbps. He said that occurred when he switched to Public IP. I'm on Public IP and all seems the same, torrenting/downloading speed is only 1MB/s. Torrenting is always 1.0MB/s or 1.1MB/s. The only possible way to get insane speeds/uncap your speed limit is to actually hack into Maxis's servers and change your account's configuration, which probably will get you into some mad trouble So hopefully Azizul can provide us with some information on how he managed to get that fantastic speed.. And as for uploading speeds, when torrenting, I just set it to unlimited. Usually my upload speed can be bad, but at regular times, download+upload is always at maximum (1.0-1.1MB/s) sometime feel like get cheated.... said is 10MB but mostly users can only achieved 1-2.5MB/s we paid for 10MB but in return cant get the maximum speed of download at 6MB/s or 8MB/s. Feel little fire now...

QUOTE(lalachong @ Jan 14 2013, 05:15 PM) Hi Jacky1678.... did you get confused over 10 Megabits/s with 10 Megabytes/s? so that you know... Maxis is giving 10 Megabits/s... which is equvalent to 1.25Megabytes/s... omg... perhaps u r right... i get confused now... thanks for the correction. by the way, r u sayingth UNIFY 4M is less than 1.25Megabytes/s?

QUOTE(pisanq @ Jan 18 2013, 01:00 PM) is it affecting torrent only? how about direct download from giant company like microsoft.com or cnet.com? is it been throttled during certain period also? i dont really think is depending on the certain period of time... i guess we may need to know also during the certain time that we are downloading, is that becoz of the bandwidth heavily congested? this is just my guess reason... perhaps.. sometime we can reach 1.1 MB - 2.5 MB also dependency on the number of the users FTTH downloading at the same time. How do you think ? perhaps i've least pendidikan xD but just wanna ask whether it is a possibility reason or not lo.

QUOTE(rootlinux @ Jan 22 2013, 03:04 PM) Does anyone know if we can claim Maxis bill in income tax for broadband since no 6% tax? Thank you. accumulate in one year time lo. for example RM 110 x 12 = RM 1320 a year. if the Field is only allow u to put RM1000 then u just put RM1000 lo , if the filed no mention about limit then just put to maximum RM1320 lo.

QUOTE(pisanq @ Feb 7 2013, 10:24 AM) Now Maxis is the first fibre broadband to start throttling P2P. Doesn't matter you are using 10Mbps or 20Mbps or 30Mbps, your speed will be capped at 1Mbps only this one really suck man. we paid for wat package we want for. how can they have the right to do such a thing for us? can i say maxis Cheating? pay for this much but get such a speed with this kind statement to convince us ? sound like u bought a speaker but u can not turn loud ... holly shxt...

QUOTE(soulseeker6187 @ Feb 7 2013, 12:11 PM) So this means during the peak hours(8-2) only torrent client will be throttled right? DDL no throttle? no proper announcement and inform , any T & C stated ? if does not, can we just make report on Maxis dishonest and cheating ? QUOTE(soulseeker6187 @ Feb 7 2013, 12:23 PM) they have mention that they will implement FUP in the contract. if we make report they will not bother with it. look at the case on the Legacy Unlimited 3G mobile user, they change the data cap to 30GB, user complain also they dont care. FUP stand for what?

QUOTE(gogetter83 @ Feb 7 2013, 02:04 PM) I'm disappointed as well, but it is in the contract for Maxis Home and also UniFi. They reserve the right to implement FUP and quota too. This day was bound to come, just a matter who's going to start it first. Maxis has now started FUP with P2P traffic. Who knows, other might follow soon too. Fair Usage Policy sound like cheating. we paid for what we want for. does it mean only P2P traffic affected ? other streaming like ppstream not affected ?

QUOTE(gogetter83 @ Feb 7 2013, 02:53 PM) well, it is in the contract, hard to contest since we signed it. Not sure if ppsteam is affected, I don't use it but it's P2P in a way. Maybe other users with ppstream can share their experience recently? sometime really piss off, they do business like selling and using are 2 different story. Eventually only discover out the provider is sucker by giving lousy service to customer.
