Should re-use 1st batch look n plant turbo on it

It's clearly an attempt to prolong product life line. Will be interesting to see how many units actually get on the road. IMO I don't think it will be very successful, unless they come up with an exciting deal for present K5 owners.

I hope the Stinger is not delayed too long and miss the boat on sales!

Correct... With 180k price tag, there are 2 people will thinking like below
- for non-turbo driver, they'll go for NA D segment
- for turbo driver, they'll go for 2nd hand/rekon turbo car like evo/wrx

Majoriti of my friends if got bajet around 180-200k, for sure will buy reckon car (bwm/merc too)

What you say is true. There are many ppl who consider 2nd hand/recon turbo cars. This is why I feel there s a market for the Stinger if it's going to be around $200k.

It will have the performance and new car warranty. Plus it may have better reliability than Contis.

Hi,

i plan to take kia k5 2015 model, any advise or cons about this car ?

K5 is certainly a good looking car. Very comfortable & good features. Pretty decent handling too.

The one thing it lacks is sufficient power. It is seriously underpowered. This is very evident when paddle is floored. The engine has a thundering roar and struggles when overtaking. IMO this an be dangerous. Even if you are a patient driver, there isn't any reserve power to get you out of a potentially tight or dangerous situation.

If you must have NA, consider Sonata 2.4. Slightly better engine to get you out of dangerous situations. Remember you can be a very diligent & safe driver, don't expect this from everyone on the road.

KIA Malaysia seems extremely slow in bringing Kia new models to Malaysia. Its almost as if KIA is using Malaysia as a dumping ground for out going models. A market to clear old inventory!

Took a decade for the K5GT to appear in Malaysia. I was a potential customer, however lost interest & turned to other brand. The new K5GT is superb! Is KIA Malaysia going to repeat?

guys, just wanna ask. is kia k5 (2013/14) still relevant to buy? any problem with this car? if anyone can help, thank you

Its an OK car if you want a comfortable family cruiser.

Dont expect any spritted driving. It will not perform & engine will sound like a lorry upon hard accleration.
