Hey, I liked the C30 before and despite Twilight. Also a bit of a chick magnet, at least in Europe. Know a few nice girls who like the car brows.gif

Complaint from a friend (C30 owner and soon to be S5 owner... god I wish I was still in Europe, I'd buy his C30 then) is that you have little privacy, cars behind you can see right to the front due to the huge and low glass window at the back (good point, easy to park).

Quality, performance and all is good. I mean that guy is upgrading to a S5 to feel it's an upgrade. Also it's a very pretty car, and of course also very safe.

Not sure I'd buy it in Malaysia though. But anyway, the car has bad resale value (it's the same in Germany), but then again you are buying second hand, right? Isn't that a PLUS point then?

you are buying used. the first owner lost the most, you probably loose less. but bare in mind, c30, very special, and it only takes special people to appreciate this model.

if Jessy yeo is a typical girl, who wants to have no worries. then Volvo c30 is not the car for you. But if Jessy yeo is a very daring, love to drive and love to be different and likes the style, then c30 is the car for you.

otherwise, if you are not ready to face the image and owning a used continental, you can just admire the car. Better get something safe like Toyota, or honda, be like everyone else, Be safe. boring, expensive, cut throat, and obviously a follower. No style, blend. and of course being all these boring thing is safest without headache.

Otherwise at 120K value, just buy the new civic, or civic hybrid. no one will question you.

if want special car that is very bad in resale value, high repair cost and not very reliable track record, Alfa wins Volvo. if u break down beside the road, at least u have a much prettier car if the car is an Alfa, ppl at least will notice u, not so in a volvo because a volvo is...............just a volvo

c30 looks pretty good in real life...only ever saw less than 10 of these in malaysia....resale value should be the same as ford focus since u are buying 2nd hand...don't worry about losing money...all cars lose money...yes volvo lose money faster but by now it should be half its value already....

Yeah. By now there is not so much value to lose... which is good, which is what one should be looking after. Only worry is parts and service center.

The C30 is quite a looker. Alfa too, but the C30 can hold up pretty nicely, and it should be a better car.

yes it lost half it's value already, how many years only? and it'll continue loosing significant value every year. as i said earlier, after five years u can expect it to loose around 70-80% more of it's current value, by the time u want to sell it, it may only cost 40-50k. so go on ahead, if u expect to keep the car until it dies, then it's ok. that's why the "Volvo for life" motto.

the only feedback from all my friends are, DON'T ever buy Volvo if u don't want to keep it until u r old. most of them says Volvo very good at first but after a couple of years, things start to go downhill and now they can't sell it because they ain't worth shxt. so they just keep it. From the first gen S40 and S60 until the XC90 also got friend buy, that's why i have so many feedback on this brand. now my neighbor wants to sell his XC90, the warranty also hasn't expire yet but the car value dropped almost 50%, he said he'll NEVER buy any kind of Volvo again. and also he says if the car always in workshop, better just buy Alfa, at least he will never get bored of looking at it while it's parked.

Volvo in the last years have beaten Merc and BMW in customer satisfaction and number of defects.
