Delay how many times already?

Just change SA la. Don't let them think they are the boss. And they should learn not to lie!

My SA ffk me 1 time oredi. Booked in early Nov. delay to Jan. If ffk me again I might jump to honda  city.
*
i booked in early September... SA(from Medan Tuanku branch) lock it in on 01Oct.... promised Nov delivery... end up saying end of December delivery... made me speechless...

I'm about to cancel and make a transfer since Serdang Raya branch got ready and immediate stock for both White and Silver colour, J Spec...

Yesterday morning my SA called, and managed to give me a Brown J, deliver by this weekend.

If you guys wants quick car delivery, i would really suggesst go with UMW Motors; instead of those dealers(like mine). These direct UMW Motors do have better stock allocation, hence the faster delivery.

This Serdang Raya branch SA named Janet, damn good... she offered me Silver J, immediate stock if i agreed to transfer over. I would really buy from her if its not because of the hassle on loan transfer, booking cancellation, transfer of purchase car plate number...

However, finally my SA given me a definite answer whereby i'll get my car this weekend; which is a relieve.

It was a dramatic process whereby i pressed the SA kao kao last week, only to end with such scenario. Hence, morale of the story is... be a little bit fussy in order to get your car in short lead time.

Also, we can actually transfer the loan over(if its approved) to whichever branch that have immediate stock, if they could give you. I learnt this the hard way.

Hope this experience help.

hi all,

newbie here for a new Vios J. Anyone realized that the new Vios cabin NVH is really very bad?

Anyone did soundproof for firewall, floor, bonnet to reduce the cabin noise? Or shall we just change to a low Db tyres?

Anyone tried this before?

thanks!

*
the "tok" sound upon depress brake is normal as what claimed by my SC yesterday; upon first 1k service. I've complaint to them but to no avail. Live with it.

QUOTE(brothercheong @ Dec 16 2013, 11:07 PM)
NVH is good, dun need further sound proof, today pump FC is 17-18 sen/km
*
different people might have different acceptance level in terms of cabin NVH. Personally i think Vios is really bad in this context.

QUOTE(Sh@rty 5 @ Dec 17 2013, 12:14 AM)
Yes u shud, start with the boot or floor first, tyre shud always be ur last option

i guess G spec should not have this problem right? because i can see from booklet soundproof all over the mounting, bonet, windscreen, etc...
*
I thought the brochure only indicated acoustic windscreen, nothing else?

My friend is driving G Limited, same poor NVH issue... Guess its the package...

QUOTE(markljh @ Dec 17 2013, 01:41 PM)
prepare yourself to hear more noises once you do sound proof. reason is you cant notice outside noise anymore but new noise from internal.
a light sound proof would be ok i guess.

Its called addiction... laugh.gif

Guys,

Need to clarify with u guys some IMPORTANT thing

If you notice, the REAR bumper is attached with REAR Fog Lamp.
Apply to ALL J, E, G & TRD spec.

Yesterday, i try my friend E spec & my J spec by pressing the break, the Light does not turn ON.

Even when i driving i also notices some TRD spec their rear fog lamp got turn on when breaking & some doesn't.

If you put your hand under the bumper, u can feel the cover with socket & wiring are attached.

Anyone got idea about this?
*
new Vios rear does have this Red Coloured fog lamp. It can be turn on via the stick on your steering; upon main headlights engaged. Not sure if stepping brake pedal would brighten the rear fog lamp or not.

U mean the the stick on the right?

As i turned ON the main head light & front fog lamp. The REAR fog lamp also does not ON...

hmm.gif
*
yes...

there is this secondary rotary to turn on the rear fog lamp. Its only allowed when you have fully turn of your front headlights. I use it upon heavy rain.

guys, just wanna check whether does it voids our Toyota manufacturer warranty if u change the current Headunit to aftermarket HU; example a Pioneer double DIN.

Does these aftermarkets all is plug and play for mass market car like Vios?

I'm currently struggling with the J spec HU; especially on changing FM channels..

Please kindly advise.

thank you.

Can I install the G spec HU nicely on the faceplate?

Found a good offer.

The faceplate looks abit different between G and J. J is completely 2din and G looks integrated. I wonder if I can install G fitly on my J housing faceplate.

Any advise on this?

Thank you.

Wanna ask.what is PCD in choosing rim? Vios rim default pcd is what?
*
Vios is typical road car... its PCD 4x100

you would have tonnes of choices in the market.

our standard rims size:

PCD 4x100
15 inch(size) with 6.5JJ(width)

What is pcd actually?  I understand the jj. If jj exceed 7.5 it will offside the fender rite?
*
PCD is what Ulysee mentioned, Pitch Circle Diameter.

it determines the wheel nuts distance; whether it fits our ride or not.

So default vios has pcd 100 and 4holes.

So we need to find any rim that 4holes & pcd 100 rite? Or else need to find the hub.

Correct me if im wrong
*
find rims with 4x100 with max 7JJ i guess. as you mentioned before, 7.5JJ will hit the fender.

Happy rims hunting bro.

as long as your rims offset doesn't popped out from your wheel arch, its safe.
