to me 14 days is standard. i always gauge a CO's AL and Public holidays observed in my past job search.

those CO that gives 8days AL and ONLY observed SELECTED Public/State holidays are the ones in my NEVER BORTHER TO INTERVIEW LIST because i believe this is good enuf for me to judge the BOSS to be:-

1) darm calculative (till no grass can grow);
2) no staff welfare minded;
3) don't expect proper system of appraised pay raise, bonus;
4) super stingy;
5) the mentality of "i pay you, i own you" ;
6) no SOP punya, the only SOP is the boss say!!!

SADLY, this is usually a "Cina-Pek" or complicated family members operated business where all the "yee-ma-ku-sher" in the CO.

Knowing how a HELL look like, will help you not to walk yourself into one and most importantly wasting your time in one.
