I am a support Executive in a MNC with 4years experience. I earn Rm5000/mth with usual benefits. I have 14days annual leave (not counting other public holidays ` raya, cny, xmas, sultan/agong bday etc).

My question is Whats your annual Holiday entitlement? Is it on par with your years of service to the company?

Like for e.g. Executive level

~ Under 2 years = ? days
~ 2-5yrs = ? days
~ ABove 5 years = ? days...

I am trying to convince my Boss (who is member in the HR Assoc something of Malaysia) that Executive & Manager level is different and that the number of annual leave entitlement can also be a greater 'carrot' to reward hardworking staff.

Do you agree?

Thank you.

how does annual leave days "reward" staff.
most of the time these guys are the ones who hardly take leave.

in fact, last time my company allow to claim extra annual leave when u work overnite, weekends.

so at one point i got 40+ days annual leave and end up cannot take them cos of work, and cannot encash them. burn liao. that was my reward.

20 days? 22days? 40days? U guys are senior manager with many years of working? Can you assist with years of service and designation to equate the number of annual leave?

Else, i worry i go to my boss with halfpast 6 info...Thanks.

banking line?

many companies that i know of uses years in company to calculate annual leave. 14 days for the first year, then 1 additional day for each consecutive year and finally capped at 20-22 days. (number of days are just example)

most company has limits on the number of days that can bring over to the next fiscal year.

25 days.

If I were to be hired 3 years earlier, it would've been 30 days.

24 days flat (regardless your position) as long as you are in the company for 4 yrs.

1st year when you join the company = 18 days, increase 2 days per calender year basis. (regardless position). New hired deputy CEO in my company only have 18 AL... (but I think make no different for them if he "disappear" in the office)

Not everyone wants reward in terms of leave entitlement. what is the point of having so many leave entitlements if you can't utilize it?
A better reward would be like awards, incentives, bonus, profit sharing, etc for the hardworking workers.
