when you see "islamic fiction", what is the first genre/cerita that comes into your mind?

what ficitional story would you think of with islamic influence?

I think of EP311: The Faithful Soldier, Prompted by Saladin Ahmed.

Dune is heavy with use of Arabic, if you consider arabs=muslims. It's not about Islam per se but the story is heavy with reference to religion and desert life. hope that helps

May I suggest something along this line

Use idea or lore from the Islamic that are interesting and usable as a a reference point in the fiction. EG, A kid discovered a jewel and manifest magical power which works in the form of imagination or recall of stories, eg, when running from monster after the said jewel, her path was blocked by water spell in the form of tsunami that rushes upon the kid, kids recalls the story of a certain prophet parting the red sea, thus manifesting the power to split the tsunami in half and escaping.

Of course. this is just an idea...

Perhaps a story with Islamic morals ?

It can of anything, but what sets it apart from other Islamic literature is that it does not include any figures, or historical facts.
