QUOTE(Sichiri @ Aug 13 2012, 06:19 AM) Some bus direct into Bukit Kayu Hitam border and some stop at changlun where you need to take taxi to the border...*warming, never take the motor-taxi on both side of the border, it's simply cut throat.. Just walk for 500meter... QUOTE(samlee860407 @ Aug 13 2012, 07:16 AM) i think bus and train last stop will be changlun There's no train into changlun, the train is on the other side in Padang besar..from there to the border should be less than 5km....iirc QUOTE(psmalaysia.com @ Aug 13 2012, 09:46 AM) I never go Danok but is just walking distance from the Immigration where you stamp your passport. It's waterview restaurant..I only go Hatyai but not Danok. But did stop a Danok to have a nice Thai food in a restaurant at the lake. Forget the name but it was very famous. One thing I hate this place is the waiter and waitress, soon after you finish your meal, they request for tips upon you paying the bill. Is very impolite. |

Currently the best hotel ate definitely Siam Thana for me, it's new, clean, cheap and it's big.. Ask for the normal room without balcony will save you 200bth..
Also it's better for you guys to do advanced booking, because the hotel room are limited, for the past few weeks, trying to get the room by walk-in but all fully book, even on normal day.. Agree with fuzagi, those stall selling kuih are great and most important it's cheap, where can you get a bak Chang for only 15bth with full ingredient? My favorite stall is the one after the orange Minimarket, in front of the handphone accessories shop, but be there early.. |

QUOTE(ck23 @ Sep 3 2012, 12:40 PM) somebody told me that all bars, clubs in Malaysia are selling DUTY NOT PAID beers. Especially those beer towers, keg, and barrel. Not only beer, but hard Liqour as well... Especially if you're their regular...they open duty not paid beers and pour them into the tower. its to maximise their profit. QUOTE(ghoss @ Oct 30 2012, 01:27 PM) Yup RM85 per night include breakfast for 2 + WIFI + Safety Box Not to mention the very nice interior and great service, the first time I went into the room, the bellboy open the tv and say to me "Movie Sir"... It's straight to the adult channel.. :-pRoom is super big, with a bath tub with window inside the bathroom so you can rest in the bath tub and watch TV But anyhow, the price for Siam thana is keep on increasing and it's increasing very very fast, last year I can still get room for around 48-58... But now.... :-( |

Seriously you guys pay for the white card and even pay for them to fill in for you...?
Come on, no wonder these people are getting more and more daring in asking for money from tourist, they been used of getting spoil by Malaysian and Singaporean.. You can get this card for free at Thai checkpoint and also most of the shops around especially at The Zon duty free.. And to fill in the form, it takes less than 5minute to fill in... |

QUOTE(samlee860407 @ Nov 2 2012, 10:52 PM) Everyone knows that white card is supposed to be free. I normally get it from the zone and the Thai checkpoint, just grab a bundle from them. I have enough stock-pile in my house for my entire life :-pDo u think we want to pay Becoz we lazy to fill up? Hell no. It's just that when we (those who can't get it for free) are there, cnt get it when already at the zon duty free, don't bother so much and just pay for it So if u know exactly which shop can get it, please let us know the shop name |

QUOTE(ck23 @ Nov 4 2012, 10:10 AM) Ya, they usually have it, very seldom I saw them out of white card... QUOTE(samlee860407 @ Nov 4 2012, 12:45 PM) u so lucky. i just go there yesterday, and they say tarak. asked them where to get, they say tak tau. demmmmm Well, maybe because I'm the duty free staff, so I get more privilege.. :-p other than The zone, the next easier place to get is the Thai immigration office on your left hand side into the border.. If they give you one, ask for more, they don't really bother..PS: i ask at the counter on the left (near money changer) of the main entrance |

QUOTE(samlee860407 @ Nov 4 2012, 07:26 PM) haha. yea i heard my friend say if the officer stop, just tell them nicely go in makan nia, then ok d lolx Not necessary, it's just a safety precaution..But this has become some sort of tradition, just like us Malaysian that pay them the rm1 or rm2..when i am there, no ppl bother to check also when drive in drive out. btw, is its a must to buy insurance to get the temporarily import form from customs (in terms of law, not for safety purpose) ? because when i apply for the form, they don't see the insurance also |
