QUOTE(MeToo @ Aug 29 2012, 02:47 PM)
Ya... tie rod...

The problem arise form the fact that Proton use cable tie to tie the rod.... so if car goes pass bad road often, the plastic tie will degrade... so the rod wont be tied anymore.

will try look for ori tie rod comparison picture
*

keras? this is MILO body. Malaysia Impact Lousy Occupant body

Added on August 30, 2012, 12:33 pmFrom wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_RISE#Lancer

Lancer
The 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer is built around Mitsubishi’s next-generation RISE unibody design (GS platform). The RISE body structure disperses energy loads during side and rear crashes and controls distortion, enhancing occupant protection and also protecting the fuel system during a rear impact. The highly rigid structure makes extensive use of high-tension steel. It features straight "front side members" with an octagonal "cross-section" and a three-leg support structure, as well as increased application of both high-strength (590Mpa) and ultra-high strength (980MPa) steel. Compared to the previous-generation Lancer, torsional rigidity has been increased by 56 percent, and bending rigidity is up by 50 percent. The side pillars, roof joints and cross-car structure increase collision protection. A collapsible front chassis crossmember and a device to help prevent brake-pedal retraction during a collision contribute to better impact energy management. The pedestrian impact protection has also been increased, with new shock-absorbing hood, cowl and fender structures and shock-absorbing hood hinges.[13]

Inspira
The 2011 Proton Inspira is built around Proton’s next-generation MILO unibody design (Nestle platform). The MILO body structure focuses energy loads during side and rear crashes and worsens distortion, compromising occupant protection and also puncturing the fuel system during a rear impact. The lowly rigid structure makes extensive use of MILO-tin steel. It features straight "front side members" with an octagonal "cross-section" and a three-leg support structure, as well as increased application of both low-strength (590Mpa) and ultra-low strength (980MPa) steel. Compared to the previous-generation Proton, torsional rigidity has been reduced by 56 percent, and bending rigidity is down by 50 percent. The side pillars, roof joints and cross-car structure decrease collision protection. A collapsible front chassis crossmember and a device to help reduce brake-pedal retraction during a collision contribute to worsened impact energy management. The pedestrian impact protection has also been increased, with new shock-absorbing hood, cowl and fender structures and shock-absorbing hood hinges.[13]
