I've just done my 45k service at COSE. One of the things they changed was the air filter. After tht I noticed tht my car was noisier than usual & felt really heavy. I can't access XCInspire's guide on fixing this in the 1st page. Anyone can help? Thx a lot.

Just make sure the air filter are properly clipped. I think they didn't properly secure the bottom side
*
it is always the bottom side.

at least now got info, last time i drove all the way from ipoh to kb with a improperly secured air filter. was one of the earliest inspira to service, none of them know how to put it back properly after blowing the dust off the filter

Good that you are here, its related to my dad too, at least you guys got sembang a bit.
Ya, i do that purposely.  laugh.gif

OK, now i need to start compiling the problem... hmmm hmmm... PLanning to post yesterday, but saw all just greetings greetings only, few ppl active, then i chose tonight. LOL

Added on August 20, 2012, 8:38 pmOK, this is it guys, the problem a bit small actually, ok lets start it this way.

Last week, Friday morning, i went to Ultra Racing to install the front strut bar and 23mm rear anti-roll bar. Was happy about the change, esp the front strut, really can feel the difference just after driving it straight!  thumbup.gif Anti-roll need further test, although feel less roll during uphill, but the front was too obvious the difference. Maybe i should install front strut only instead of both, to appreciate the new rear anti-roll.  sweat.gif

here comes the problem, im going to do the car service for the third time i think. By next month or 30,000 km (just clocked in 21000++km now. The service stuff, which i think most probably, will proceed with dad following around, so i will need to explain those stuff to my dad. Oh gosh... Nevermind on this, die die must explain liao...  shocking.gif

Another more troublesome is-- installing the ARB replacing the stock will void my car warranty right? and by doing so, how is my free car servicing? Will that be void also? if that is the case, my dad will become very mad. zzz. Im doing the service in Ipoh, most probably the proton edar showroom there? bro Ckk last time you met my dad there right? So how if the stuff there found out the newly install UR front strut bar and rear ARB? Will they start charging due to the warranty void bla bla bla?  hmm.gif

I have yet to inform my dad on the new mod. So what you guys think, will the new installation of front strut and ARB void the free servicing/warranty? Sadly my service booklet seems to be at Ipoh. Cannot check what they doing during that 3rd service. Hmmm...

Hopefully im worrying too much on this.  blush.gif
*
bro, trust me. Strut bar WILL NOT void warranty, what more free service.

Proton technical team have a look at my car before, they didnt even bother, even when my car have suspension noise back then. i got my bump stoppers changed as well as absorbers. nothing about warranty being void.

the eon fellas wont dare say void lah... wink.gif

Cosmetic wise, 205/55/16 looks good on our stock rims?
*
just like preve, altis and civic..

its not about the looks for me, the speedo will be off and im afraid the ground clearance will be lower, coupled with stock soft springs, will always kena the speed bumps

5mm different doesnt change anything hmm.gif
Anyway lets wait for some feedback. I think k3 wira lim using 55/16
*
k3 using 215, so the diameter is quite similiar

http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-calculator

use this, and u'll see the size difference.

65.24 diameter vs 63.19 cm 10.5mm difference there

our inspira's ground clearance is 160mm.

im worried about this cuz my family's prius which has a ground clearance of 150mm, always kena speed bump when full load.

QUOTE(XCInspire @ Aug 23 2012, 04:28 PM)
Now he sounds like a preve owner... got issue but say is normal... no car is perfect mentality... lol... so many issues where can claim bestest ah? Quite basic things that cannot work properly...

"For me i faced some jumpy steering issue but i guess thats just the way the car is. Not really a problem or defect. But to try and solve this 'issue', Naza Kia offered to replace both my rear shock absorbers FOC. But no difference cuz like i said before, its not really a defect. But my current problem is the stale smell for about 5 secs from the aircon when u switch it on during a cold start. But Naza Kia have now ordered a replacement aircon filter just to see if it solves the problem. Ive also faced the vibrating wiper issue for some time. Naza has now odered a replacement wiper arm & new blades for me although wipers are not covered under warranty. Naza Kia also replaced both my front fog lamps FOC when the plastic cover became bent on 1 side. Again not really their fault but they still replaced out of goodwill. No issues since then. "

"The jumpy steering actually happens when u go over bumps and your steering 'jumps'. Can happen at any speed but on high speed highway drives, it does melt some of your confidence when it 'jumps' while ure going over rough uneven roads while taking corners at 150kmph. "

Now this is a serious safety concern no?
*
who are you to say it is a safety concern? LIFEmaster say not problem mah.
