when you mentioned long term, how long will that be?
i noticed some of the bond funds..past 3 years..the performance probably worse than saving in FD...

can you share any reason why recent years are considered dark years?
what makes you think that 10 years later will be better? i know nothing is for sure...but would like to listen to your explanation and inputs...then from there probably i can try to search and read up further. thanks. QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Nov 18 2013, 10:11 AM) |

I am always confused by distribution...
i thought actually what PM refer to as distribution is basically taking our own money and split them into more units as distribution... very misleading... So how can they said they declare RM312m distribution, as if they are giving out the money? Pls help clarify if i am not understanding this correctly... QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 31 2014, 04:34 PM) Public Mutual declares RM312m distribution for 9 funds It said for the Public Islamic Bond Fund, the gross distribution was six sen per unit and for Public Industry Fund, five sen per unit. As for the Public Sector Select Fund and Public Equity Fund it was two sen per unit. Public Mutual said the gross distribution for the Public South-East Asia Select Fund and PB Australia Dynamic Balanced Fund, it was 1.5 sen per unit. The distribution for Public Asia Ittikal Fund and Public Islamic Dividend Fund was one sen per unit and for PB Asia Real Estate Income Fund 0.5 sen. |

Can you please share what you know to achieve more than 6% for UT after deducting the fees?
Because in my opinion, we are not in the driver's seat and the fund return/performance is still relying on the mutual fund manager...not ourselves here... pls share... thanks... I really want to know how to achieve this return because my experience in UT so far...i don't really see 6% return annually... QUOTE(koinibler @ Jan 11 2015, 07:06 PM) I think the author use some kind of old data. He/She not really right though, right now anyone can just publish a book. Even PM only charge 3% for EPF. Maybe there are other fund house which is more expensive than PM, but I'm very sure that there is also a lot of other fund house which has a cheaper initial charge. You will trade the EPF dividend with your mutual fund dividend. More than 6% can be easily achievable with mutual fund if you know what you're doing. |
