Oh yes, saw a lot of complaints of not offering the same channels on ASTRO Facebook. Keep yr fingers crossed they can wake up their idea.

TechCrunch reported that Malaysia’s leading cable provider, Astro has inked deals with Trapit, an AI-based content delivery syndication for the iPad. Trapit’s technology interestingly based on the same tech with Apple’s Siri that’s powering the iPhone and iPad. Often mistaking as news-consumption app, Trapit actually recommend more than just news ranging from over 120,000 sources.

Astro has invested over $1.9 million for the deal.

Altogether the group broadcasts 156 channels, of which 68 are produced by Astro. Going forward, it expects its channel capacity to increase to 180 SD and 102 HD channels with the launch of Measat-3B.

well i think your prediction is can be pakai la... cuz i think at least we need one FTA channel to be HD it is either media prima or rtm. but since MP is in silence mode about HD but rtm has done it test, so i think astro will be first to broadcast it channel then unifi and abn i presume.. about india channel, music video HD, 3d sport, and local content in hd i can predict also.. but tutor tv?? i not so sure..
about simulcast, hmmm, since all of us mintak subtitle, i think astro is fed up already, then they just simulcast that channel into hd..  

Mio TV's Astro aruna changed to Astro Prima ....logo overlap each other.....wonder why the Astro staff not noticing it.....

They realized it half an hr later....

So the new channels starts at 6am?

(21st Sept) Standing room only at Astro prospectus launch in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon. Political, biz, regulatory, media... U name it. There have to be 1500 people in this ballroom. Go Astro... Or maybe that should be ‘go beyond’??? P.S. Everything is in glorious pink as well. Love. Even the Prime Minister has a pink kerchief on his breast. He’s saying appearing at multi-billion dollar IPOs is becoming a habit for him. P.P.S.Oops, don’t call Astro’s new colour “pink”. It’s magenta, according to Astro’s brand bosses.. Take note.

Viacom International launches Comedy Central Asia

Comedy Central Asia will air 24 hours a day, seven days a week in both standard-definition (SD) and high-definition (HD) targeting several markets throughout Southeast Asia.

With the upcoming launch of Comedy Central Asia, VIMN strengthens its offerings with its first venture into the adult-skewed entertainment space with the unique offering of 24/7 all-comedy entertainment targeting viewers aged 18 to 34 years old. Comedy Central Asia will feature both original and acquired content including Comedy Central's global hit series The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, South Park, Workaholics, and Key & Peele, the Asia Pay-TV premiere of such titles such as Anger Management, Happily Divorced, Jo Koy Lights Out, as well as classic titles Mind Your Language and Boiling Points.
