The chs are not delayed......all chs on Starhub n Singtel are monitored for some months  before the authority gave the operators the green light to launch it.

The authorities required the operators to keep recordings for all chs  for a certain period. If there are complaints, they will view the recordings n issue warnings to operators. Maybe after 2 or 3 warnings, they may request them yank it out fr their line-up.

FOX News n CNN HLN are 99% US news channels, shouldn't be a problem for Astro to offer them......clueless why they cannot offer it.

Not surprising? Isn't it good news?

In today's paper, Starhub's attempt of free preview of partial HD chs......strike back at mio TV whose free FOX preview channels ends this Sun.

Channel 309 is no longer part of standard HD channels? It was available for few months but no longer now.

Hmm.....maybe Disney HD in the works.......to go up against Turner's 2 new HD kids channel coming in early 2013.

notice that after astro has list in IPO, little by little there are a bit improvement.. maybe they need to settle their own debt, thats why there are no improvement before..
and yet after they list their IPO, there are changes...
hope they can keep changes, like change their old decoder to the new one for free, but instead impose RM20 for the HD channel, they have the optional to subscribe or not the HD channel cuz want to upgrade to MPEG4, for better image quality for HD and SD channel and minimize the bit rate that make them compress before on MPEG2.

its better late than nothing... at least they can offer their share to the public rather than keep among them self.
i don't know about business , but i think it is good things, consider that there are few outsiders want that share.. for that it show that astruuk is 'consider' a good company for investment~

Hmmm....just realized the ONE HD feed over here does not have "HD". Strange...

@ Qash-M, per request.......seems like all FOX distributed chs has the same fonts.....all hard coded.
