Eh, i wasn't aware it is no longer free in other states because it used to be free even in East Malaysia. When we moved to a new house back in late 2008, all we did was calling Astro and they arranged everything for us. We just had to wait for the contractor to call us and it was free.
*
Yup, me too!
Why shld it be Free for only 2 regions and not the others?
Unless income from those other regions are not enuf for Astro to provide such services?
A joke, huh? doh.gif

Did tested. All was fine until recently suddenly pop out this "Copy Protection failed" on all the HD channels.  wacko.gif
*
Hi...
Best course of action is like Bro Fubar suggested....
QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Nov 7 2012, 08:50 AM)
hmm.gif And I assume you didn't test HD channels and the PVR functions before the installer left?
Call them to come back and do a proper job then.
*
OR if that does NOT produce satisfactory results, then call & report yr prob to Astro Custcare....

Best wishes.... icon_rolleyes.gif

My Astro is connected to the Satellite wall plug supplied by the Condo.

After a few weeks, some channels cannot watch already and always give bad signal like raining etc.

Those channels are CNN and SuperSports 3 817. Others channels I did not check.

But still can watch those other favorite channels.

No point complain to Condo Management because they also cannot do anything. Even after rectify, problem came back.

Anyone have any idea if there is any Signal Booster device to boost up those channel signal?

Or any other idea to solve this problem??

Thanks.
*
Hi Bro...
Re Condo probs, no choice but 2keep on complaining...2BOTH Management AND Astro!!
It's yr right... smile.gif

And yup, there are signal boosters 4improving signal strength. Get them from good electronics shop/suppliers...
Mayb also search here in LYN?

Even when I watch 'live' on certain channels, like BIO, sometimes I do encounter occasions where the subtitles disappear after a while, and I have to press the 'language/subtitle' button and  press 'OK' to the make the subtitle re-appear.
*
Possibly a technical hitch...
As long as easily remedied, feel we can live with it. Agreed?

ps. Nothing is truly perfect in this world.... icon_rolleyes.gif

Hehe... yeah... checked the EPG just now. Yes, according to EPG, Oli HD Ch 231 programs will start on 11-11-12.

Hmm... maybe, as*teruk wanted to show that Oli HD Ch 232 will "appear" on 9 November with no programs... and programs will start only from 11-11-12, hehe.  smile.gif

Yup, Bro...

Try setting the subtitle options in Main Menu Setup screen...ie by pressing the Home button on yr remote?\
Then ==>Settings ==>Your Settings==>Language Settings==>
Followed by scrolling down to Subtitle Language 1 & 2 to set according to yr prefs....

Best wishes...and good luck! cheers.gif

Hi guys. Need some clarification. Currently I facing this "Copy Protection Failed" which appears on every HD channels.

So I called Astro and they first ask me remove the HDMI cable and use the normal cable (Yellow, Red, White). And yes the issue was settled and there's no "Copy Protection Failed" on all the HD channels.
And then they told me that the PVR cannot use HDMI or else it'll show this "Copy Protection Failed" on all the HD channels.

And so....this came to my mind that WHAT IS THE POINT OF HD WITHOUT HDMI?!

I heard there is a different between Asteruk Byond and Byond HD. I'm planning to subscribe Asteruk as I don't have other choice here. So, is there any different between above package? Thanks...
*
IINM Std Byond is w/o HD reception enabled...only SD Channels....
Byond HD is c/w HD Channels...either in Superpacks or with xtra subs for HD. tongue.gif

Pls refer to Bro jamesleetech's post earlier... icon_rolleyes.gif
