Just have a question here.
Can the digital audio output on Byond PVR output DTS?
I heard DTS 5.1 is better than DD 5.1.
On my bluray player I set it to DTS 5.1

Do you guys have problem with the PVR?  When changing the channel, the new channel numbers would not show correctly on the decoder panel.
*
Hard reset and force update.
What is your software version?
Of course calling Assteruk CS is best solution
I think the 2011 batch has problem as mine is 2013 so it is normal

Is Byond decoder box for satelite and iPTV the same?

I'm looking to buy bluray HT that I can connect to Astro using digital 5.1 channel sound . What kind of connection should I be looking for if the tv is connected using HDMI.

Thanks in advance.
*
1)for PVR yes.
For Byond no.

2) I connect my PVR and Blu Ray through 75ohm coaxial cable. My Smart TV I connect through optical cable. If you're BD HT has HDMI you CAN connect it to your tv's HDMI ARC input

Look at the label under your decoder
If its not manufactured in 2013 you can request for replacement.Try formatting and reset your settings.
If you want to risk ,open your decoder and unplug hard drive and boot without it.

I have question about Astro PVR decoder. I am subscribing to the PVR service and have TWIN LNB dish installed at my apartment. Does anybody know if it is possible to watch Astro at another home by moving my PVR decoder and connect to the home pre-installed normal Byond dish (SINGLE LNB)?
*
Yes , you can.
2 methods to do so.
1)One cable only to decoder(not recommended$
Eg: you can watch one channel only when you are recording anything. When you change channel if you cannot watch it you must switch cable around to watch the channel.
2)LNB splitter(not so recommended)
You can watch and record 2 Sd channels at once but not HD channels. Some lags when chan channelsgi

Understood. Thanks bro..
Another question. How about vice versa? Can I connect my normal Byond decoder (Non-PVR) to a TWIN LNB dish?
*

[/quote]

Just connect either cable from the Dual LNB.
Will just work fine.

And what is the review buffer depth and record extension?
*
Review buffer depth is when you start watching a channel it will record for live tv pause and rewind.
Eg:You watch Astro supersport. Then it will start recording how long depending the time you have chosen. You can then rewind back. To check what u have buffered u can press ok on your remote and look at the red bar.

Record extension
Sometimes the tv guide is not accurate so the record will complete before the show ends. That is when you use it.I recommend you using 2 mins though im not using
