No doubt, my japanese surgeon neighbour drives a proton saga and wear freaking cheap discounted local designer wears, thing is these expats are just gonna be temporarily in marehsia lah.. I.e. The moment he hits xxx hrs of surgery here, he'll definitely move to mayo clinics research unit in Florida, marehsians are just cheap guinea pigs for researches anyway..

Driving cheap secondhand jap cars would be practical to reduce # time and $$$ wasted in proton service centres, if you choose to live in marehsia that is...

In the long run, it saves you $$$ to buy that little luxuries/holiday packages..

So think about it :

local marques + Numerous service centres visits (avg 2-3 hrs each visit that costs rm150-1,500 each)

Or

Cheap 2nd hand jap marques / crappy dugongs + holiday packages (amount of $$$ saved from NOT visiting service centres & other minor problems fixes and replacements)

Anyway, I onli spent additional 20% vs. local marques for extra comfort, so I dun think it's a Jaguh kampung mentality, it's more to fulfilling one's contentment. Get it? Well, not like those songlap kings and multimillionaires, our prudent incomes dun buy us APs Or run taxes. If u could afford a multimillion dollars vehicle, why would you pay tax at all?! Lol

Think Again bro, think Practicality!

the japs i'm talking about are thinking of retiring already. they are "settled" in they said and tied to their companies as permanent employees. they are still driving local cars and are planning to keep it that way. up to your neighbour's liking but if he were to stay here, you wouldn't know whether he'd get rid of that saga or not.

i don't know what to say about the rest, because if anything, i'm saving a tonne of money compared to my other mates who are driving foreign cars just from the monthly installments alone. a lot.

about contentment, fine, you are content of getting more comfort, but other people have contentment from saving money and branding them failures just because they bought a proton is just childish. considering you bought 2 protons in the past makes you a double failure?

about the AP and all that nonsense make sure you vote next GE.

That is exactly what I'm pointing out my friend - saving money

Bought 2 protons and lost tonnes of monies in services and repair jobs, now that I dun own any of those rubbish, it saves me a lot and in fact, I do consider those my failure to overlook the "hidden costs" of owning protons!

And I dun brand them, it's just that my perception tells me so, and it'll be good to psychologically share with others what I've perceived that my statement were true and gets people's agreement yes? It's the failure of overlooking hidden costs that Im highlighting here, since you've raised this.

Vote or not, those are my rights, you have no right to dictate me nor order me who and when to vote even if there's a penalty to vote, I may or may not choose to pay, it's my right.

you were complaining about our prudent incomes and the songlap kings so i'm just asking you to vote as a solution. doh.gif no need to turn it into an emo "don't tell me what to do" rant.

if i have no right to ask/tell you to vote then you have no right to tell local car owners to buy foreign cars.

bye lah rclxub.gif
