To be honest, when I first saw the blue,lavender etc colored 818pro's...I was thinking... GOSH that's fugly but when see the real thing...the black... then it became GOSH that's SEEEXXY.

why when i push the hard reset button (that small hole at the bottom) ..its just restart the device ... but all the programs and data files are still inside ..i thought when we hard restart ...all installed programs will be gone.

I think for hard-reset you must press and hold the power button then only press the button in the small hole....

I have been using for Dopod 818 for 9 Days... Brought at PDA Expert...

I would like to ask some question and someone could help me out...

1. Why sometimes when i press start it will lag abit???
2. As why i keylocked and unlock can only see the unluck word at below and when i comfirm unlock then back to nrmal screen...
3. sometimes i need to pree the ON button only can see the screen and i pree onces then see light and off back...

May i know how can i run Dopod smoother??? As most of my program and files are in CARD...

someone tried hard-reset on my 818 pro yesterday but still got the same prob as urs. still wondering y liddat tho

hard reset:
Press Camera button + Communication button (the one lower than volume switch) and while holding those two buttons use your stylus to hit the soft reset button.

Keep the buttons down until the "Press Send" message appears

Your screen will appear black with the text "Press Send to restore to factory default, Other keys to quit"

i tot the manual usually tell how 2 hard reset?

pressing the reset button only is like pressing the reset button on ur pc, just restarts ur device. that's y no data loss occur.

guys .. mind to share MMS configuration setup? my friend sent me a picture thru mms yesterday but i cant download the files for the whole day. i already setup the mms connection to celcom but still cant download the files .. and until about now then i realized there is a "MMS Configuration" menu inside the Messaging Software. I thought it was autamated ..but actually i have to set it up manually.

So here's the setting for Celcom MMS
Server : celcom
Gateway : 10.128.1.242
Port : 9201
Server address : http://mms.celcom.net.my

Who know 1 day i will used Maxis/Hotlink/Digi with the Dopod and i have to setup again manually for those ISP. so mind to shares your mms setup? (other than celcom)

if u just push da small button its mean u restart la bro,if u wanna make hard reset u can go to 'clear storage' in ur setting>system>clear storage. just follow da instruction... after dat u will c da dopod reinstall da WM5 os back! but all option software dat u install b4 gone oledi lar... PDA EXPERT told me like dat if i wanna make a hard reset.. just my 2 cent..

just wanna ask, what type of movie file can dopod play?

so far i know is mp4, any others?

or is there any 3rd party movie player which is good to install in dopod 818? please recomend.

Dunno... I don't use lock. I just turn the screen offWhen wanna use just press the on button niah....save power also. The phone works like that also so it's not a problem.

Probably your backlight settings kut...set it to leave on for longer lar.

My turn for questions, I wanna display phone contacts only (no sim contacts). I don't wanna use filter because it'll revert back to show all contacts later.

I got a problem here
currently it takes over 40 second to load the file in Windows directory and not to mention when i snapshot image using my dopod 818pro it seem like everything damn blur. Maybe my hand is shaky but the problem on loading Windows directory so long is too much so anyone face this problem and got solution to it?

well.. either u just filter it to no categories .. or copy all numbers from sim to phone and delete the contacts in sim card .. but b4 that .. make backups those number to your computer using activesync ..

May i know will SD cards with normal speed will it makes our 818 LAG???
