i have a dopod 818pro, and there's always trouble wiht the speaker. it kinda cracks when i play certain mp3s that doesn't occur with any other player (other phone, etc) sent it back to dopod they supposedly fixed it but same only. is this a common problem with this model or am i just plain unlucky? only had it for a month now.

i dun think so cuz i face the same problem too somemore if i max the volume even worst haih...

i didnt change my owner name and registered ady but still face the same problem so wat can i do? register again?

Well the speaker just plain sucks! When using the fon also can hardly hear bec the voice cracks and distorts!

So i use my BT headset most of the time...

you have to restart (Exit CE-Star and start again) your CE-Star after registered..
your device owner name on your dopod = the device owner name you registered in the registration page...

mine works.. if not, uninstalled the pre-installed one, download the one in dopodasia.com and installed it..
i dun have the problem with my speaker at all, just don't max the volume.. not just to this dopod, even every phone should not have their volume set to the max, bad for their speaker and tend to decrease their lifespan..

sorry if someones asked this question before .. i didnt look back the few last pages ..

where can buy 818pro casing and how much is the price? mine already calar coz fell down on tar road. lucky the phone is ok.

As i should said, WHICH Case does the DOpod 818 fit nicely and look SLiM...
Any suggestion?

Hi ppl, I'm having a very odd problem with my dopod. I can use agile messenger to login my MSN but i can't surf net at all. tried some settings but i stil can't solve it yet. Anyone has any idea wat is wrong? i went through this forum but the search function don't work well " thanks in advance to those that help out.

NOTE: I've even tried hard reset on my dopod and also set the settings accordingly, i can connect to wifi but just my stupid browser won't run (its the default IE from dopod).

Low Yatt la... RM170 if I'm not mistaken

My Dopod sent to SiS in Low Yatt cuz my front speaker not working at all...

It's normal la my fren... my K750i oso dropped more half price... my 9500 even 70% dropped

any1 experience this before :
incoming calls ...back speaker got sound
but when click answer the front speaker dun work at all
play music the back speaker also never sound(without handsfree)...
only can call n reciv call wif handsfree
paniking now any 1 can help? onle bought the phone for a month ....
so miss lowyat far far away from home...... means cant send to service...

btw anyway to listen to songs other than using the hands free given? tried using a 2.5mm adaptor convert to 3.5mm but only 1 side got sound...

Checked with Lowyat Digital Gadget for the silicon casing. Supposedly selling for RM 80 - 90 for the casing with hard screen protector. Unfortunately, i have asked a few shops and all have run out of stock.

I'm using Dopod 818 pro,Can i know how to group a contact and send a single sms. Just like normal handphone, many model offer the grouping. now i just added a group from my contact list and save it in the Draf folder and need to do Reply All then key in the message. Is there any 3rd party software to do it??? Thanks...!!

how to tweak? need any codes or s/w?
