QUOTE(prinny101 @ May 9 2013, 09:38 PM) Neat, pretty sure you could pull off a nice one if you put your soul into it.As for your questions to be honest I am as inexperienced as you. Though I think the most important thing to do is to build a strong portfolio and start exposing yourself on the art community (CGsociety, ImagineFX, devientArt etc) Haven't been active in this thread as of lately, here is something that I just uploaded minutes ago: ![]() |

QUOTE(Agito666 @ May 18 2013, 02:36 PM) i thought google sketchup is creating some basic shapes only Import.you construct the tank or import the tank XD i like the thread. I can't into 3D As for the thread, yes it was painstakingly hard to color each and everyone of those. I imagine if were to build this from scratch, would be awesome but don't think I would invest that much time doing so. |

An hour+ study using a sculpture image.
![]() Trying to experiment with different kind of brushes in Sai. One of the regret I have is that I didn't properly construct the structure early on and it didn't turn out the way I want it to be later on. Welp, lesson learned. This post has been edited by missingNo: May 20 2013, 02:11 PM |

QUOTE(seba @ May 20 2013, 07:37 PM) its rather well done, some wrinkles are apparent while others made it seems like the old man is melting, a little bit of exaggeration on the neck. Spot on, I was experimenting with a different brushes and I still trying to figure out its proper usage.I like the shading considering it was done in an hour. btw, what is a sculpture image? The sculpture is "The Art Critic" by Philippe Faraut. ![]() ...now that I look at it again my construction is clearly still a mess... Welp, gotta practice more. QUOTE(seba @ Jul 31 2013, 05:49 AM) Well, a good artist doesn't always make a good businessmen, you're looking at the wrong person here when it comes to that. The best way I know is to expose yourself and get involved with the online community...and that's pretty much it for me. |

QUOTE(slimburble @ Oct 24 2013, 08:54 PM) It is as easy as grabbing a stock canvas texture, and set it above the artwork as an Overlay layer. Here is something new, more of the same as before...though I think I kinda went overboard with the texture. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(V3nz @ Nov 20 2013, 12:36 AM) Grayscale coloring? Sai just doesn't have that many layer options such as Color layer for me to pull it off, and I just don't have the patient to went through such process.Kudos to you for pulling it off nicely for a first time! Artwork for this week, again, more of the same like before. ![]() |

Well, my table happens to have a rolling pad.
Resizing the brush is as simple as turning it back and forth. It is fast and smooth. Not quite new, but it is something that I can upload today: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by missingNo: Dec 12 2013, 11:15 AM |
