but the character doesnt seem to blend in with ur bg..u are not part of the character animator right?

looking at the girl's right hand, seeing her hand can bend till like that, her fore arm shud at least been seen a lil bit?

shud emphasize more on the tone..now it looks a bit flat and hard to see the overall drawings

outline or not its ok..but u need to emphasize mroe on the shadow to have a depth..and also the whole drawing is abit dirty..lol

the man shoulder shud be SLIGHTLY larger in width..its either shoulder too small or head too big..

and i also realised when u have some overlapping anatomy, the hidden part always make the prportion goes wrong..Same for this one..if u construct the antomy according to this, u will realised that the arm is way too short.

google " zhang bin" and look at his painting..=) he has his own style especially in colors and even the face features..

ask where your light source comes from..

agree with agito..i also feel character and environment is slightly seperated. doesnt blend well together.

exactly..do you know chong fei giap? he's an illustration lecturer in my college..he also using this method as well..

yeah..never get tired looking at his drawing..

yes..look at one of his painting..he posted the step by step..its build in sketchup to get the dynamic perspective and realistic lighting..after he get everything correctly in block, only he start to paint over with all the details.

he's a young master! he's just damn good in paintings..if not mistaken he mix..ps and painter.

as for character, of coz its drawings..not hard to draw a figure anyway. =)
