QUOTE(seba @ Dec 19 2013, 07:33 PM) Maybe kot, I think the eyes is good enough, one thing that bothers me is the nose. Well need to practice more. Yup, nose is off. It's too far to the right side of her face. Traced a bit of facial structure to show: Have you tried doing the "Flip Horizontal" refresh trick? Easy way to check for mistakes when a painting looks "off" is to flip it 180-degrees so you see it mirror or upside down. Makes it easier to spot mistakes that would have skipped when look at the painting as you drew it to be.

QUOTE(jamilselamat @ Dec 25 2013, 05:16 PM) I saw a tablet blatantly titled 'Intuos Manga' in the formerly Bamboo line from Wacom. ...The specs... ergh... Anyone here used it? Is it good or is it just a marketing ploy to snatch on the poor mangaka hopefuls out there? lol I've been using a Genius M-712X(12x7") for reference. It's basically Bamboo with shiny new name LOL EDIT: It comes with a scaled-down version of Mange Studio, IIRC, rather like how Bamboo used to have PS Elements and stuff like that. QUOTE(seba @ Apr 24 2014, 11:26 PM) Is that sherlock? On another note, this thread is quite dead, same as the section. Nah, it's actually based on some obscure male model, from client's request.

No idea how that works o.o ----- Moar work-in-progress. Although this one is polished enough that I can consider it "done" if I wanted to Not a character this time haha, it's a corporate VIP. This post has been edited by DragonReine: Apr 25 2014, 11:36 PM

QUOTE(pj_guitarist @ May 8 2014, 12:55 AM) impressive. how long does it take for you to create something like this? and how long have you been drawing/painting? Thank you It varies greatly, depending on whether I have references (be it an actual image, a live figure or something from my mental library). If I have references it'll take only a couple of hours, if I need to construct it from scratch it can take up to 4 hours, including experimentation and measuring. As for how long I've been drawing, I only practiced the craft seriously for the past five years.

QUOTE(seba @ May 13 2014, 04:21 AM) After CGHUB close down, I don't know where I can find source of inspiration, feeling unmotivated. The CG Society Galleries have some pretty cool stuff. Most CGHub peeps have a gallery there too. It's quite well-organised and the standard of quality is very high.
