Hi Panasonic88,

You good in "IF" can be programmer, one day write your Investment Decision making sure you can overcome BILL GATES.

B Gates is not a very good investor. smile.gif

WB is..........and he almost always buys on DISCOUNT.

Alto igb-reits maybe a good compnay, i feel it is overpriced at the mo.
Thereby i said waiting for Rm1.25 price....i am looking for discounts.

Your feel of going to the mall is a VERY good way of 'knowing'.

Next you need to put figures to the financials...returns on investment is very importnt.

Happy New Year to ALL! thumbup.gif

Felix, fellow IT fler here biggrin.gif

Just a thought:
a. If one bought and price goes down YET gross DY% < (not worthwhile vs FD%)
IF price of IGBREIT fall 10% after U bought,
__IF Gross DY% <6%
____Action?
__ELSE
____Action?
__ENDIF
ENDIF
b. If one bought and price goes up YET gross DY% > (worthwhile vs FD%)
IF price of IGBREIT climbs 15% after U bought,
__IF Gross DY% >6%
____Action?
__ELSE
____Action?
__ENDIF
ENDIF
c. If one bought and price goes nowhere (no capital growth/returns) and net DY% <= FD%
IF price of IGBREIT stagnant after U bought,
__IF Net DY% <=4% (FDish)
____Action?
__ELSE
____Action?
__ENDIF
ENDIF

Hi Felix.
hehe - wah i've a fan (stressful) sweat.gif. Just hope the thoughts and stuff shared is of use or at least helps one think ahead.

Personally, i do use binary branching to trigger probable actions (+ thinking & analyzing when triggered lar, not just buta do biggrin.gif) in addition to an over-arching asset allocation control to avoid what Panny stated (no action coz too many IFs).
The reason why i took this approach is because i'm a "fear/greed" victim, thus these help me stay focused & minimizes "me being my worst enemy" in investment management. The other way to look at it is - "Dont plan your fire escape exit when there's a fire, do it when calm & logical" (read that somewhere).

All the best with your triggers & actions.  thumbup.gif

Correct me if I am wrong  ...........

Ya Numbers ( I agree ) , but NOT just any numbers.....

PE of 5x or 500x could make lot of diff ... just an example, though some may not like to hear about PE at all.

Shouldn't one be  fearful of 500x meh hmm.gif
*
its not fear as such, its just logic as wong's logicall matrix shews............no emotion
