everyone else here i see their fc not high as mine. mine tops 14-15, sometimes 12.. ayoo why la.. maybe depends on the way i drive
*
Never reached 12L/100km. The highest for me is 11.8 while lowest 9.7. That's 85city/15h'way but i'm quite light footed. Haven't done 1st service yet. ODO is around 450km. Expect better fc after the 1st service. Hopefully. Btw, mine is 1.6 sx 6 speed. What's yours?

Anybody using the audio to play songs from thumb drive connected to the usb? whenever i turn engine off, then on again, the thumb drive doesn't get detected. Sometimes when I insert the the drive into usb, it doesnt detect as well. is this normal?
*
Had the same issue with the usb drive so decided to load my songs onto the microSD card instead. The card is automatically detected and songs will play right where they left off. I think there's a workaround for the usb drive somewhere in either the v11 or v12 forum. U can check them out.

Anyway here's what i did with the microSD.

* Extract microSD from the HU (make sure the engine is off, just to be on the safe side).
* Plug in the microSD into a memory card reader (pc or laptop).
* Launch Winamp player (winamp will detect the card).
* Right click on a chosen song, transfer to the microSD. Repeat this step for other songs.
* Once done, insert the card right back where it belongs (in the HU of course).

That's it. Problem solved for me. By right u can always drag n drop songs onto the microSD bypassing winamp altogether. I chose to use winamp bcoz it's easier to search for songs n album arts will also be loaded with the songs.

my dashboard got rattling sound too. try to cover up by increasing the radio volume, but sometimes the touch HU has reception problem, so still can hear the rattling sound. quite annoying sometimes.
*
Anybody tried soundproofing the doors? Extra foaming/insulation with those mats might get rid of the rattles right? The rattles are annoying! cry.gif

Talking about FC is like a never ending story. Too much variables involve in our everyday driving that affects the FC. For a 13xxkg car with 17" rims, figures around 8-11L/100km is consider ok for me for a mix driving condition. There's no way the FC will be better if we always stuck in the traffic jam or being heavy footed all the way. So everyone's FC will not be the same although we drive on the same route due to many variables (factors) such as traffic conditions, speed, tyre pressure, total car weight, our right foot's mood etc...
*
that's right... let's worry less bout the FC and drive the best possible way we can and enjoy the ride... tongue.gif

the lever's mechanism at bottom of the seat which adjusts front and back..

and guess what.. I'm addicted with WD-40 today and I even spray into the hole of both B pillar seatbelt..
result is.. NO more lalat sound oredi !! happy happy !!

I guess my car came out from Factory assembly all with hard steel joinery which creates sound..
when I was arrived in showroom to collect my car 3 months back.. it seems the internal glass all around was fogged up with dirt moisture and that salesgirl quickly wiped it clean before she get scolded by me  blush.gif I believe my car was placed in appropriate environment for 1-2 months and that could be the reason all of the metal parts in the interior including the driver seat even the armrest got squeaking noise.. what the hell..

I think mine particular car is the biggest lemon car among all fortezens here.. alot of small small problems..
until to-date, all the problems are resolved and wherever I'm drive it I got the feel of satisfaction already..

Oh another 1 very very minor issue.. my driver's door when closing.. it sounds abit like Saga FLX door closing sound..
got a bit audible "crakk" sound and it doesn't heard to be solid door closing compare with other 3 doors.. could SC able to rectify this for me too.. ?  yawn.gif
*
This is indeed a great share! thumbup.gif gonna find myself that magical WD-40..bye2 pesky lalats.. haha.. bro Ah_Bear, how did u exactly spray that WD-40 on those B pillar seatbelts? how did u get to the metal? thankx...

can you share the WolfNCU.ini? Cant really make it work last time then I stop pursuing to make it work.

Anyway, you maybe know this already but I'm gonna share it anyway... you can actually create a custom shortcut on the "Apps" section by pressing on one of the icon (example: Options button) for a couple of seconds and all the icon will be editable. There's two empty space so just press at the empty space and choose "Edit". From there just locate the .exe file. You can also rearranged the icons by press and drag ala smartphone.

thanks for sharing... didn't know we were able to do that thumbup.gif

The DTE when reach E it wont show anymore. I have tested when start blinking i still can drive from Kuchai Lama back to Pandan Indah. Should be around 15km with no traffic jam. IMO 20KM should be fine. test at ur own risk... tongue.gif
*
Just thought of sharing.. got this from the Kia Forte manual downloaded from the net (should be rather similar to ours)

"Distance to empty (if equipped)
This mode indicates the estimated dis-tance to empty based on the current fuel
in the fuel tank and the amount of fuel delivered to the engine. When the
remaining distance is below 50 km (30 miles), “---” will be displayed and the dis-
tance to empty indicator will blink.
The meter’s working range is from 50 to 999 km (30 to 990 miles)"

So.. when the empty indicator starts to blink.. we have roughly less than 50KM range to search for a fuel pump..

Done with soundproofing of two front doors and hood by STP yesterday, Audio quality definitely better and also Engine noise reduced by roughly 35% or so. Today continuing with Front and Back soundprrofing to reduce Road noise..  laugh.gif

Another mod? rclxms.gif How heavy is the material? depending on packages sometimes those mats can weigh a few KG... any noticeable reduction in acceleration?

Changed stock tyre to Continental MC5.
Now feel much comfort and less noise when driving more than 80km/h, satisfied with the result smile.gif
