Hi guys, many talk on FC recently. Let the money do the talking here:

6l/100km = 11.4 sen per km
7l/100km = 13.3 sen per km
8l/100km = 15.2 sen per km
9l/100km = 17.1 sen per km
10l/100km = 19.0 sen per km
11l/100km = 20.9 sen per km
12l/100km = 22.8 sen per km
13l/100km = 24.7 sen per km

Every 1l/100km change = 0.9 sen difference so I say "Don't sweat the small stuff, just tekan aje!" :-)

Yeah my gf don't like that smell too. Need to get rid of it soonest. Going for my first service this coming thu any idea which SC better for fixing the famous left pull issue? I heard CSL branch is good am I right? So far I only facing this left pull issue the rating noise don't have yet or maybe I'm not noise sensitive...
*
Don't worry, soon the noise will come. Then see whether you sensitive or not. biggrin.gif

The noise problem more than 1 year this stupid Naza cannot solve....... no better than Proton.....

actually any SC from any car maker can solve noise issue but not worth for them to assign all their staff to resolve that while left out important thing/major service for other customer...
and dismantle is not easy, it's like they re-build ur car (similar like what gurun plant did it)...
that's why sometime they need more than 3days to resolve noise issue... they only inspect it when they're free...
if u have backup car, then u can send it to them...
*
If their factory engineers had taken steps to counter this noise problem, then less headache & work for SC. I think it is the foam material they use inside the dashboard. For my case, normal time, dashboard silent but after park in the sun more than 30 mins, Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in full swing. Sometimes so embarrased when fetch guests.

Same with pull to left issue..... if outside workshop can do it, what the hell are they doing in Gurun? Tidur ka???????????????

If they can kautim these few problems before the cars leave the factory, customers will be happy & keep Kia brand name. Now ppl hear got these type of problems also "kia" (scared in hokkien). Sorry to say, as much as I love Kia brand, I will not buy another one in the future if it is assembled by factory full of incompetent engineers!

damn.. just got my cars 2 weeks and the passenger dashboard area already got minor rattling sound. New HU GPS also suck. sound proof not really good though.

@Motorman aka Edwin loh, you would help me to fix the dashboard sound right? Got pull left issue as well. Will need your help when my first service come.

Maybe we should have list on page 1 for people to register for dashboard rattling & pull to left problem. biggrin.gif

the very last piece Fire Storm Ignition Coil Booster has been sold to fourteh. Sincerely sorry to him for making him wait. Damn traffic sleep.gif

Hi V12K, no problem waiting for you, we all know how bad traffic in KL/PJ is nowadays. Thanks for the sale of the last piece to me & for your installation and patient explanation on how it works.

I am really happy with the Firestorm installed in my car on Oct 1:
1. Gear changes are much smoother, feels like CVT.
2. Engine noise is reduced when accelerating.
3. Uphill climbs use less effort.

Did not really monitor FC yet as now busy flying here & there.

For the price, I think it is the best value mod you can put in your car. For those driving 1.6SX, put this in & you will stop regretting you did not buy the 2.0SX. :-)

Forteh,
Share with us the FC after firestorm installed. BTW, how much you paid for that?

I am wondering if this firestorm better or Qmax LV Voltage Stabilizer (cost about RM650++). My Forte is 1.6SX. Hope to get the best for my car and help on fuel consumption.

Today I just fuel up full tank. The previous Caltex Ron95 no help on FC. Same as Esso Ron95.
*
Not monitored FC yet but I don't think would be fantastic. Price less than RM300. Firestorm helps performance more than for FC unless you drive economically.

For value & for a lower price, I recommend this Firestorm over the Qmax which I also have. I think VS effect is better for older cars.

White color. Any SC simply keep ten biji white color. When I ordered bright silver, they said I am alien.

Yesterday I made a trip from Damansara Utama to Alor Gajah, Melaka & back. Pumped full tank before journey. On the way there, lowest average FC achieved was 5.9l/100km & after coming back with some town driving, the ave FC reading was 6.6l/100km with trip distance of 306.8km + distance to empty 264km = 570.8km. Fuel tank needle showing half tank. biggrin.gif

My previous dyno reading wasn't on-wheel. So the reading is not that accurate. Unfortunately, I dont have the "Before" dyno chart. I am gonna dyno my car one more time hopefully by this week end when my exhaust set up is ready.
*
Hi, where did you do the dyno test & how much it costs per run? Thanks.

yours 6.6 i think is potentially if u drive at that speed consistently you will get 6.6, but based on the DTE + trip distance, not within 6.6L/100KM...mine around 550 (total for both trip + DTE) average showing 8.3L which i think is a more realistic one..btw what was your rough speed (or average, not looking at the one displayed on your meter) when driving? Mine was around 60-80km/h only cos guiding my relative to 1U yesterday..so drove super slow...
*
Hi, I think you are right. This ave l/100km is not accurate & through my monitoring by pumping to full tank & checking the reading, there is about +6% error which means if your meter showing 8 l/100km, actual reading is about 8.5 l/100km.

My average speed to achieve 6.6 was around 90 km/h even on NS highway. biggrin.gif
