Hello all.

I'm 90% into buying a Forte. As I keep on reading about this car, i notice a large amount of complaints on rattling/squeaking sound from various parts in the car. Some can be solved and some remains a mystery still.

But most of these reports are from Forte owners from 2010/11. Are the issues still persist in 2012 products?

My car is a mth old.
there is still some weird sound coming from the dashboard area. (Near the clock)
radio reception abit poor. (compared to my previous Myvi).
hopefully that all and nothing more to come... 

Mine 1.6sx (sept 2012) so far the rattling issue can be heard but not too obvious (not a big issue for me yet) & no other minor issues so far. for fc mine 9.5-10/100km (mine is 100% city drive) & yes the only thing unpleased me is the HU radio reception. there is one forte owner in fb changed his HU motherboard at galaxy (FOC) & the reception getting better now. havent had my time yet to go there.

Heard stock for Forte is low now nationwide or only in KL ? Due to year end high purchase demand ?

a lot of ppl don like to buy car at the end of the year, unless the promotion is very good.but the promotion now is okok lar~

Finally got my radio fixed..reception damn good..audio quality also better..went to naza galaxy and the changed the mother board of my head unit..those who has similar problems can go there...

Really can be fix one ah.. Mine also reception very poor.. Any chargers to fix??

thanks bro, but wont be needing that anymore     the rims & tyre is gone..     last nite park it at my flat parking lot at 1am, this morning want to drive to work the car was on brick alrd... now waiting for police to come and check c they can do any magic or not..... will downgrade to 205/55/r16, and get the cheapest tyre available ... they really burn big hole in my pocket...

T1R got it from pit stop tyre, jln sg pinang penang for 430/pc..

Guys, my radio reception is poor and most of the time the volume goes up and down. Is this normal or is there any solution for this. Appreciate if someone out there could share their experience before I refer it to the SC.

u can do some calculation to show ur dad

Assume that u pay 10% down payment, interest rate 2.5%, 7 yrs loan and sell the car after 7 yrs
u pay total of RM158,577 for civic 
u pay total of RM113,203 for forte

i duno wats the resale value of civic n forte after 7 yrs, i assume -50% and -70% for civic n forte respectively,
u sell ur civic at RM68,500 - end up u pay RM90,077 in 7 yrs
u sell ur forte at RM29,340 - end up u pay RM83,863 in 7 yrs
if really wanna compare forte vs city (which i wont compare at all due to diff seg), of coz u will enjoy lower fc and u pay less after 7 yrs if use the same calculation as above. But, to me, i would say the emotional value can cover all this and even can 'earn more'. For example, we eat a Rm10 spaghetti at hawker and RM40 spaghetti in a dining place, end up not only to fill up our stomach but also our feeling (the environment), taste etc
