ya, upshift is ok, down shift will chok, may be because of not in perfect shifting... 

wonder for each gear what is the perfect RPM for it... 

  so that's normal... anyone try straight down shift 2 times??? let said from 4 to 2...

the car is 2010 launched right? i'm still having doubts should i place my bets on forte since its already 2years old? its RM97k not just rm97.. especially to all those who has just gotten the new 'baby' recently, do you guys have that feeling "Aiyah, should have waitted abit more, theres K3 coming out.."

i have problem with my temperature control knob. i don't know whether this issue has been discussed here before. so i just asked. If there was, give me the link.

The aircond button broke and i can no longer use the air conditioner temperature including heater. I have approached to the service center to request for a warranty claim. However, after 3 weeks of waiting, they come out with an answer that the part was not covered and they said that i have to replace the whole ECU at a cost of 2K plus. 

My arguments are

1. why the knob so easily broken (the material very low quality)?
2. why it has to replace the whole ECU?

Please help.

Sigh, I am kinda sad.

Today I drove from penang to kl with speed between 110-120km/h. When I check the fuel consumption meter, it showed 8.1liter/100km. Not really save fuel. It used my half tank I believe about 25 liters.

Not sure whether Forte warranty has a disclaimer clause that says cannot use as taxi. >100K km per year is a lot. Wonder whether use as taxi sapu...

When I compare with CAMRY, you asking compare with MANY CAMRY... and when I do that, you will tell me compare with ACCORD / TEANA.. Please take note those car are higher rank than Forte and if the FC same as them, then means high.

Maybe you are not worry much about FC because you dont travel long distance with spending RM100-200 on fuel. For those spend more than RM500 per month on fuel will feel the pain. Furthermore if fuel price increased, then will be trouble.

We cannot hold the mindset asking people go for other choice if dont like. It just like you walk into KFC, you complain KFC not tasting good, and then the KFC stuff telling you 'If you dont like go for nasi lemak'. We have to get things improved. Friend, there are many bigger cars having better FC than this. This is the fact. SA and SC admit that already.
